Zhane
-
- former or current Silver Space Ranger from KO-35
617-RMVy
During a brutal fight with giant Darkonda, the engines were disabled and the Astro Megazord's power was soon completely
depleted, making the Megazord collapse
and DECA's voice die out; the lights, however,
remained on, so some power remained, with some presumably left available
to keep Zhane's healing
chamber active.
619-IOBS
After their victory against Body Switcher, the Rangers were in the workbay, where they took off their helmets, and
the four Rangers went to their lockers
while Andros slipped out to check on Zhane in
the hidden healing chamber
off the engine room.
A monitor beside
Zhane's cryogenic chamber in the healing chamber displayed a
normal heartbeat.
620-SvSv
Zhane was morphed as the Silver Ranger inside the
cryogenic tube.
Answering the
question of who the person was, which Ashley
had asked before knowing Andros was there, Andros replied, "His name is Zhane. He's the Silver Ranger," but after a
commercial break, his answer would change to, "His name is Zhane. He's
my best friend."
Andros began to explain
his and Zhane's story from two years ago to the teens, recalling, "We were a team. Invincible.
Until the day Dark Specter attacked our
home planet, KO-35."
The villains had been
everywhere, relentless, Andros described; in
the streets of a city under siege, with rubble and burning cars strewn
about, white-striped Piranhatrons had
fought KO-35 troopers, as well as Andros and Zhane, morphed as the Red and Silver Rangers.
Zhane had told Andros
there was just too many of them.
When Andros had been
knocked down defending some troopers from a monster, the monster
had prepared to deliver a final blow to him, but Zhane, having been
fighting Piranhatrons, had rushed in and
tackled the monster, causing a large
explosion.
Amidst all the flaming city rubble, morphed Andros had carried the lifeless Silver Ranger over his shoulder
between two rows of troopers as civilians walked nearby.
Andros had then brought
Zhane to the Megaship and frozen him in
an attempt to save his life.
Andros hoped that the
instrument would heal Zhane over time, but he'd already been there two
years, and Andros didn't know when or if he
would ever wake up, but for now, the machine kept Zhane alive.
After electrical malfunctions were occurring
throughout the Megaship and the ship had
crash-landed, several Kadix beings
boarded the Megaship; more beings outside attacked exterior panels, and
DECA announced a malfunction in the healing chamber.
In the healing chamber, the heart
monitor was flashing "Emergency" although the heartbeat was fine.
On the cryogenic tube, a drop of condensation
rolled down the glass.
Moments later, the heart monitor suddenly
flatlined, causing morphed Andros, outside, to
put his finger to the left side of his head and sense that something was
wrong with Zhane.
Andros collapsed onto
his knees in defeat, thinking Zhane had died; he then got back up and
pounded a large group of Kadix beings in
a rage.
The heart monitor started again, and as more
drops rolled down the glass, Zhane's hand stirred.
Moments after that, the cryogenic bed opened, and
Zhane emerged, chasing the Kadix beings
out of the Megaship (sending them flying
the last distance out of the space
hatch).
Zhane then stepped out of the ship, looking at
his hands.
Andros was shocked to
see Zhane was alive.
Zhane asked, "Andros?"
and then, looking at Lunatick
confronting the five Space Rangers,
remarked, "This looks like trouble."
Lunatick
shouted an alien language at Zhane, and Zhane
didn't understand it but intended to make him eat his words, summoning
the Super Silverizer to
fight him.
After apparently destroying the monster, Zhane
remarked to himself, "Yes," while posing with his back to the explosion,
pleased at having been victorious.
Inside as the Rangers ran through a corridor, Andros and Zhane stopped to do a friendly gesture
of hitting together their alternating forearms (high right arms, high
left arms, low right arms), then shaking hands while gripping the
handshake with their free hands.
Zhane remarked it was just like old times; Andros was quite glad to see him, and Zhane asked,
"You didn't think I'd abandon my best friend, did you?"; Andros replied,
"Never. Come on!"
As the five Rangers flew the Megashuttle to dock with the
transforming Megaship, Zhane went to the
bridge, still morphed.
Seeing an external view of the Astro Megazord flying to Kadix on the
viewscreen, Zhane remarked, "Wow, I didn't know we could do this!"
Looking at Alpha,
Zhane said, "You must be Alpha. Hey."; Andros may have mentioned Alpha before heading off to the shuttle with the others.
As the bridge
quaked when the Megazord fell into a
sinkhole created by giant Lunatick, Zhane asked Alpha if he needed a hand.
Later, as the five teens
approached the bridge, Zhane was telling Alpha
a story about a giant monster grabbing him
and lifting him up.
Alpha was mesmerized
by the story, and Zhane was now helmetless,
having short, bleached blond hair.
Slipping his Digimorpher out of his belt and clicking it
open, Zhane described grabbing the Digimorpher and calling his Silver Cycle.
Amused, Andros
corrected, "As I recall, I was the one he grabbed and lifted up."
In the past, Andros and
Zhane had somehow fought giant monsters
apparently without having a Megazord at
their disposal.
Zhane wore no earrings.
Smiling, Zhane told Alpha he'd have to finish the story later, and
Alpha said he couldn't wait.
After hugging Andros,
Zhane asked what had happened to him, asking, "How'd we get here?" and
Andros explained he'd been in hypersleep for
two years, surprising Zhane.
Andros introduced his
friends, and T.J., Cassie,
and Carlos told Zhane their names.
Startling forward as though enchanted by Zhane,
Ashley stepped forward and extended her hand,
introducing herself.
Andros explained that
the gesture was called "shaking hands" and was a greeting, but Zhane not
only said he knew that, but had also almost extended his hand in return
before Andros's explanation.
Enchanted in return,
Zhane remarked that he'd never met a female Power
Ranger before, but why he completely ignored Cassie is unknown; he then told Ashley it was nice to meet her and kissed her
hand.
Zhane's most recent memory was of the attack on
KO-35, and Andros took
him away happily, having a million things to tell him.
621-Envy
The teens and Zhane were
on the Megaship in Earth orbit.
Andros was walking down
a hallway, trying to think of how to ask Ashley
on a date, when he stumbled upon Zhane standing very close to Ashley in the workbay,
with his hands on her shoulders behind her as he attempted to teach her
telekinesis.
Zhane was now unmorphed, wearing a black version
of the five teens' gray Megaship uniforms.
Zhane lifted up a scanner device with telekinesis
and grabbed it, and Ashley giggled and touched
his arm, making Andros secretly storm off.
When morphed Ashley was
knocked down like the others in the fight with Crocotox, Andros rushed to her side to make sure she was all
right.
When Andros was grabbed
and slashed, Ashley joined him in holding back
Crocotox while Zhane came in and
kicked the monster back, making Ashley remark,
"What a gentleman!"
Upon involuntarily demorphing from a time limit in
his powers, Zhane, hidden from the others' line of sight, ran off.
As the Rangers
looked for Zhane after Crocotox's destruction, thinking
Zhane might have been stunned, the unmorphed Zhane walked out and waved.
Carlos warned Zhane not
to demorph there, as someone
might see him, and Zhane replied, "Oh yeah, sorry."
Agreeing with Carlos, Ashley held Zhane's hand with both of hers and
told him he had some great moves and asked if he could teach them a few.
Just then, Darkonda's
image appeared in the sky and told them, "Rangers, you'll be busy forever destroying
my army of Crocotox! I have
thousands more where that one came from! Soon the Earth will be mine!"
As Ashley went to the Synthetron in the workbay after the battle, Andros watched her, thinking.
After Ashley had
generated a brownie for herself, Andros began
to nervously ask Ashley something, and she was
smiling, wondering what he was going to say, but as the others left,
Zhane came up to them and suspected Darkonda
had to have some sort of lab and asked Ashley
if she wanted to help him start scanning.
Ashley agreed, and Zhane
took her brownie, almost walking off.
When Ashley asked Andros what he wanted to ask her, Zhane stayed,
amused, and messily devoured the whole brownie.
Upset, Andros said to
forget it and walked off.
After the teens believed
they'd found Darkonda's lab on the bridge, Zhane walked into the workbay to tell Andros,
saying he had a feeling Darkonda wasn't just
bragging, but Andros, working on an open box
setup with a glowing rod device, hurt himself slightly and then glared at
Zhane angrily.
Zhane went on, saying Darkonda might have more of the monsters, maybe
even a whole hatchery.
When Andros couldn't
find something in his locker, Zhane volunteered a part on the table
where Andros had been, and he took it, saying,
"Thanks for nothing."
When Zhane asked, "Excuse me?", Andros asked what he thought he'd been doing with
Ashley; Zhane asked, "With Ashley?" Andros went
on that he'd seen them together and that they'd looked pretty chummy,
then said, "You don't waste any time, do you?"
Smiling, Zhane explained they were just friends,
and that he knew Andros liked her and he
wouldn't step on his toes.
Andros started to walk
off, still upset, but Zhane grabbed his sleeve and said he couldn't be
serious, as they were best friends; leaving, Andros said that nowadays he wondered.
As Andros and Zhane came
onto the bridge, the others told Andros they thought they knew where Darkonda's lab was, as DECA had located it on the planet Dekata 5.
As the teens prepared to
leave, Ashley cheerfully told Zhane to come on,
but Andros said they'd handle this.
Carlos pointed out they
could use all the help they could get against Darkonda, but Andros
forcefully stated Zhane stayed; as the others began to leave with
confusion, Zhane lied that he wasn't feeling so hot.
Lingering, Ashley asked
if he'd be okay, and he said he would; she touched his arm before
leaving.
Alpha told Zhane not
to worry about it and offered him a cup of milk.
Sitting on the bridge, Zhane remembered himself and Andros walking through a field in their Megaship uniforms, laughing together.
Andros had said, "I'm
talking forever! No kidding! Really!" and Zhane had replied, "Why not? You and I will prove
it!"
In another flashback, they were standing before
each other in probably the same area; Andros
said they'd vow to fight as a team forever, and they both agreed as they
bumped their left forearms high, right forearms low, and then shook
hands; this happy alliance had to have occurred prior to Dark Specter's invasion two years ago.
Zhane then recalled the battle on KO-35: Zhane had called for Andros to look out, at which point the monster had slashed Andros back; as the monster had prepared a finishing blow, Zhane had
shouted, "No!" and rushed in to take the hit.
Zhane had then slashed the monster back and bear-hugged him; as the two
were falling, Zhane had called out, "Andros,
run!!" and they had both been engulfed in an explosion as they'd hit the
ground.
Chuckling at the ridiculousness of the situation,
Zhane said Andros was his best friend and got
up to go help the Rangers, making Alpha chuckle, "That's the spirit!"
Zhane teleported
unmorphed down to a beach on Dekata 5, where Alpha called him over the Digimorpher, and Zhane had him scan for the
others.
Suddenly, Ecliptor
confronted Zhane, laughing, "The legendary Silver Ranger lives."
Zhane dodged twice, then tried to counter but was
beaten into submission and grabbed by the jacket; Ecliptor then threw him back into the sand.
Popping open his Digimorpher, Zhane remarked he'd better not
risk using up all his powers, and he didn't morph as Ecliptor kept coming.
Soon, Ecliptor hurled
Zhane onto the sand again and told him he was nothing without his
friends to help him, at which point Zhane heard Andros grunting and suddenly looked into the sky
and briefly saw a translucent image of the Rangers trapped in a net in Darkonda's lab, with Andros saying they had to find Zhane.
Ecliptor said Zhane's
destruction would make him a legend.
Zhane dodged Ecliptor's two sword swings, then kicked Ecliptor in the stomach to buy himself time to
morph.
Overpowered and pinned on the ground, morphed
Zhane called for the Silver
Cycle, which struck Ecliptor and sent him
flying off a cliff.
Zhane, pleased that his morph was still holding, touched both
hands' fingertips to his forehead and then announced it was time to help
the others, then flew off on his Silver Cycle glider.
Soon, as Zhane sped into Darkonda's facility riding his Silver Cycle, he raced past the
blue Crocotox's energy barrier,
and T.J. called out to tell Zhane to find Darkonda's lab, and Zhane said he was picking up
a signal.
After turning around a corner, Zhane rammed
through a Crocotox in his way
and then blasted through a wall, smashing into Darkonda's lab and blasting everything in sight.
Minutes later, after involuntarily demorphing immediately after
destroying the red Crocotox
outside, Zhane, upset, remarked, "Not again," and looked up, perhaps at
the Astro Delta Megazord.
Later on the bridge with Zhane, Andros apologized and said he thought he'd
overreacted; Zhane, stonefaced, said he'd definitely overreacted, but
when Andros extended his hand, Zhane smiled and
shook it, saying he forgave him.
Before going, Zhane told him that the times he'd
been with Ashley, she'd spent most of the time
asking about Andros.
As Andros asked what
kind of questions, Ashley walked in and
exchanged parting glances with Zhane as Zhane was leaving.
Then, on Megadeck 6,
Zhane looked around secretively before going into the closed-off engine room, where he'd had Alpha waiting to talk with him.
Zhane asked if Alpha
could keep a secret, then admitted there was something wrong with his
morphing powers and that he needed Alpha's
help.
622-SvSc
Another day, presumably the next day, Zhane was
lying on the med table in the infirmary, wearing his uniform but with a gray tank top rather
than his jacket and silver turtleneck as Alpha took an electrode off his temple.
Looking at a panel device and the readout on the
kiosk by the wall, Alpha found that it was
serious; when Zhane pressed for more information, Alpha said he didn't have much time: after two
and a half minutes, Alpha said, Zhane would
demorph every time.
Zhane said he had to find a way to restore his
full morphing powers.
Andros and Cassie prepared to tell the others the really bad
news on the bridge when Zhane came in
from the lift with a panel device; he was confused by their concern.
Andros told Zhane he'd
been working too hard, but Zhane replied hard work wasn't going to kill
him.
Between tapping at his panel device, Zhane looked
at the "Computer Systems" console, then the display panel for the front
center seat.
Confusing Zhane, Andros
had Zhane sit, and Cassie put his feet up, with
Andros taking the panel device.
When DECA announced the Praying Mantis's attack on Earth, the teens began to
rush out; when Zhane started to get up, Andros
and Cassie made him sit, with Cassie telling him just to take it easy.
Shortly after the Rangers had left, Zhane nervously tapped his
fingers on the controls in front of him and grabbed an apple that was
lying there on the controls.
Zhane wondered how the others were doing without
him, then, as he was about to bite the apple, had DECA bring up the fight on the viewscreen.
Zhane had green or brown eyes.
Concerned upon seeing the monster striking the Rangers with a flying blade, Zhane rushed
out toward the workbay to help.
After ramming Praying Mantis on his Silver Cycle, Zhane got off his
parked cycle and soon wielded his Silverizer against the
monster despite Andros and Cassie's intentions for him to stay behind them.
After Zhane had been blasted, Andros wanted Zhane to stay behind while they
handled it, but Zhane went forward alone, saying he could handle it.
As Zhane did a final slash with his Silverizer after blasting Praying Mantis, he was
apparently slashed back, stunning him, and Cassie and Andros had him
take it easy.
As the Rangers
took over, Zhane noticed patches of demorphed areas fading in and out
on his suit, and he ran off so he wouldn't demorph in public.
After Praying Mantis had retreated,
the Rangers looked around and called out
for Zhane, and he cheerfully trotted up unmorphed.
Zhane said he was fine, asking why he wouldn't
be, and as he put his arm around Ashley and T.J. patted him on the back, Andros told Cassie they
had to tell the others about Zhane's condition, thinking he was dying.
Later in the workbay,
the five teens ate a meal at the table, having
been called there by Andros there to talk, and
Andros and Cassie told
the teens the shocking news.
Walking from the bridge to a doorway across the hall,
Zhane heard the conversation as Cassie noted
Zhane had been demorphing as
soon as the fight was over, and Carlos assumed
he was too weak.
Grinning devilishly, Zhane remarked to himself,
"So that's why Cassie and Andros are acting so freaky. (chuckles and rubs
hands) They think I'm dying!"
Ashley remarked,
startled, that Zhane was acting so brave, and as Carlos wondered what they could do, Zhane walked
in, curious, and they quickly catered to him.
When Cassie asked how he
was, Zhane cleared his throat and guessed he was fine.
T.J. gave Zhane his seat, Cassie poured Zhane some juice, and Carlos offered him some of his spinach from a
silver plate, but Zhane said he hated spinach.
When Zhane asked for some pie, Ashley put a piece on a plate for him, but Cassie argued with her that it wasn't good for
him, with Ashley arguing that that's what he
wanted; meanwhile, Zhane watched with amusement.
Later back in the infirmary, Alpha found that Zhane's morphing energy had
slowly been drained during his hypersleep, and he now needed a
concentrated dose of high-voltage electricity to restore it.
Other that that, Alpha, said, he was perfectly healthy; grinning,
Zhane beckoned Alpha closer to tell him a
secret, and when he said the others thought he was dying, Alpha was shocked, saying he had to tell them
the truth, but Zhane didn't think so.
When the teens found
that Praying Mantis was
attacking again, DECA volunteered to alert Zhane,
but the teens adamantly told her not to, since
he needed to rest.
The teens ran into Zhane
in the hallway and told him they were going down for only a minor
disturbance on Earth.
As the five teens
prepared to take the jump tubes,
Zhane offered to go with them, but Andros told
him to stay and take it easy; Zhane tried to tell them the truth, but
they rushed off down the tubes.
Returning to the bridge and watching the ensuing battle
on the viewscreen, Zhane was frustrated, asking, "What good is the Silver Ranger if he can't even
morph?"
Suddenly inspired, Zhane had DECA bring up a global weather map, and he looked at
a spectrographic worldmap on a monitor, planning to find a lightning
storm.
Alpha firmly told
Zhane it was too dangerous, but Zhane said it was his only chance.
When the map zoomed in on California, Zhane pinpointed a red storm
cluster in southeastern California and ran
off to go to it despite Alpha's yells
otherwise.
After climbing a mountain where a violent thunderstorm was
directly overhead, Zhane held up his Digimorpher, which was then struck by
numerous successive lightning bolts, recharging his powers.
Morphed Zhane appeared to
be blown up in the fight against Praying Mantis, horrifying the
Rangers, but he soon flew in on his silver glider, unharmed.
Some time after the monster's destruction, the teens, with Alpha in
the workbay, were upset that Zhane had lied to
them.
When Zhane came in, the teens pretended to pamper him, and Cassie gave him some juice which he spat out
because it was spinach juice, given to him since he was so sick.
Zhane realized they'd caught on and said it was
just a joke and that he'd been planning to tell them eventually.
When Zhane admitted he'd never felt better, Andros gave him the cleaning supplies to clean the
Megaship top to bottom.
623-Date
As the five Rangers were fighting Horror Bull in a plaza downtown
one morning, Astronema (in her gear) watched with Quantrons from around a corner.
Morphed Zhane sped through the crowd of Quantrons on his Silver Cycle, making the angry
Astronema dodge.
With a smirk, Astronema summoned from orange energy the Destructoid monster, which
knocked Zhane off his bike.
After fighting the monster well, Zhane asked Astronema if that was all she had, saying he'd
expected more from her this time; angry, she blasted at him with her staff repeatedly.
As Zhane flipped aside, one of Astronema's blasts struck Destructoid, making him howl in
pain, and Zhane clapped, congratulating Astronema.
Destructoid growled at Astronema and attacked her and the Quantrons around her, saying no one did that to
him; meanwhile, Zhane was amused as she cowered from the monster, and he
asked how she liked it.
When Destructoid attacked Astronema, she tried to block with her staff, but he threw her aside,
apparently knocking her out; alarmed, Zhane leapt onto his silver glider and snatched Astronema from the monster's clutches, flying
off with her.
In what looked like a jungle somewhere, Astronema was lying on the ground with
something rolled up as a pillow when she came to and looked around in
surprise.
Astronema warily
watched from the bushes as a helmetless Zhane cooked something in a pot
at a campfire.
Astronema saw her staff leaning against a tree
nearby and looked at it slightly evilly, but when Zhane turned to bring
her what he'd been cooking, she lay back down and pretended to be
sleeping again.
Zhane came up to Astronema with a steaming metal mug and a cloth
he'd wet at the stream nearby.
As Zhane touched the cloth to her forehead, Astronema startled and sat up; she asked
incredulously what he was doing, and, concerned, he told her to try
this, as it was good for her.
Begrudgingly trusting toward him, Astronema took a sip but then was disgusted by
it; Zhane took it back, saying he wasn't the best cook in the world,
then sipped it by the fire and decided it definitely needed more salt.
As Zhane sprinkled some more salt from a plastic
box dispenser into the pot over the fire, Astronema sneaked up behind him with her staff aimed at him.
Astronema curiously
told him, "I could destroy you right now. You know that, don't you?"
and as he stood and looked at her and the staff, he replied, "You could,
but I don't think you will," at which point he stuck a marshmallow on
the end of her staff, telling
her to try it.
Astronema looked at
the marshmallow in confusion, and Zhane took the staff to show her something; she
asked what he thought he was doing but didn't resist.
Zhane proceeded to toast the marshmallow in the
fire with the staff, and she
then took the staff back and
eyed him curiously.
Zhane told Astronema
it was called "toasting marshmallows" and told her to try it; looking at
him, almost curiously amused, she delicately removed the marshmallow
and, entertained, took a nibble, looking at Zhane demurely.
As Zhane smiled and asked if she thought it was
good, she suddenly looked at him and lost her smile, pointing her staff at him and backing away.
Astronema sternly
told him not to think she owed him anything, as they were enemies now
and forever; before vanishing, however, she smiled softly and thanked
him for saving her.
Zhane called out for Astronema to wait, but she was gone.
Later in the day, Zhane was lying in bed in his
quarters, looking at a photograph
of Astronema (probably a 5"x7"); the photo
showed a distrustful Astronema in a wooded
area with her battle gear, staff, and her current hairstyle;
how Zhane had obtained this photo is unknown.
When Cassie and Ashley rushed in, Zhane hid the picture, and when
they asked him to come to the movies with them,
he thought he would just hang out in his room, but they dragged him
along anyway.
Later, Astronema was
lying on her bed looking at a photo (again, probably 5"x7") of morphed
Zhane holding his helmet and smiling in front of
a black background; how she'd obtained this photo is also unknown.
As the six teens left
the movie theater, Zhane hung behind the
others, deep in thought; he stopped to dreamily look at the poster for
Star Crossed Lovers
and imagined himself and Astronema in place
of the main characters, embracing to kiss.
In casual clothes along with the others, Zhane
was wearing a gray shirt and a watch in place of a communicator.
As Zhane turned to walk away, he collided with Astronema in teenager form (henceforth referred
to as Karone), causing her to drop her books
all over the sidewalk.
Zhane apologized and helped her pick up her
books.
Shyly picking up her books as well, she said she
was so clumsy, and he said it was totally his fault.
The two bumped heads while picking up the books.
Looking at her, Zhane was in awe, and when she
asked, "What?" he said he'd thought he was someone else.
Smiling and awestruck after helping her up, Zhane
said he had to catch up with his friends and said "see you," then
trotted off, accidentally leaving behind his folded photo of Astronema which she was delighted to find.
As Zhane joined the teens, purple energy bolts from behind struck
nearby, sending people running and the teens
ducking behind things.
While everyone was distracted, a red arrow with a
note on it shot into the tree Zhane was hiding behind.
On a pink piece of paper bordered with hearts and
fern leaves was the note: "Meet me by the campfire at five o'clock. -
Astronema," with a bright red lipstick kiss
on it and a new photo of herself attached; in the photo, she was now
smiling over her shoulder, not wearing her battle gear.
After reading the note, Zhane gasped and looked
at his watch.
A bit before five, Zhane frantically ran into his
Megaship quarters in civilian clothes, carrying
a bouquet of roses and many shopping bags of clothes; while getting
ready for his date, he casually tossed his Digimorpher onto a chair and then covered it
with a shirt.
Soon, as Zhane happily strutted down the hall
toward the workbay with the bouquet and
wearing a silver shirt, Zhane hid when he heard Alpha in the bridge fretting over the Rangers' situation.
Alpha found Zhane
sneaking by, having been trying to reach him, and had the put-out Zhane
look at the situation, dragging him into the bridge.
After seeing Horror Bull flipping and fighting
the Rangers as Alpha told him the others needed him, Zhane
looked at his watch and asked if Alpha was
sure, making Alpha whine in protest,
"Zhaaaane!"
Finally padding himself down, Zhane found no Digimorpher and went back to his room to
search for it; clothes were strewn everywhere, but he finally remembered
it was under the pile on the chair, and he morphed.
After racing in on his Silver Cycle and striking Ecliptor and Horror Bull in passing, Zhane
helped the others as they got up, but T.J. fell
back down, and as Zhane helped him up again, he remarked that they were
worse off than he'd thought.
After Ecliptor had
retreated and Horror Bull had
grown after being defeated by Zhane, Zhane hopped onto his Silver Cycle and told the others
he had to go, then raced off between the giant monster's legs.
Forlorn, Astronema
was later sitting and fidgeting with the ground when morphed Zhane rode
up on his Silver Cycle.
Zhane waved "hey," and Astronema stood up with a wicked smirk; when he
leapt off the bike and demorphed with the bouquet, she
amusedly blasted the roses with a purple energy bolt from her finger, as
well as more around him, and she chuckled girlishly as he stood back up,
completely fried and covered with mud.
Zhane protested that those had been long-stem
roses, and Astronema shouted, "Nobody stands
me up, buddy!!"; she turned as though to leave from disgust, but as he
told her he hadn't stood her up, she paced and grumbled that he was
late.
Zhane argued that he wouldn't have been late if
she hadn't sent any monsters, but with
exasperation, she yelled that she hadn't sent any monsters and blasted at him again.
The reader will note that Zhane had been willing
to date Astronema despite thinking she'd
purposely sent Horror Bull to
fight them.
Zhane asked if they could talk about this, but,
hurt, Astronema said there was nothing to
talk about and that she never wanted to see him again, and she
teleported away as Zhane was crushed.
Later on the bridge, the teens argued privately about which was to go and
talk to the depressed Zhane, who sat in uniform, despondent at a center seat.
Ashley was shoved
forward, and she awkwardly asked Zhane if he was okay, but he didn't
reply.
Andros, shoved forward
next, agreed that Zhane looked a little bummed, but he still didn't
answer.
Cassie, shoved next,
smoothly told him, "You can talk to us about ANNNything," but he merely
looked at her and quietly said "thank you" before walking out.
624-ZhnD
On the desert planet Centaur B, Zhane and Andros were in brown cloaks in a fierce sandstorm
wearing facemasks, with Zhane using a scanner to lead them to the first
of several energy sources the teens had
detected.
Some time later, Andros
told Alpha they'd lost contact with the
others, but Alpha said the atmosphere was too
dense for the ship's scanners, so Zhane had them keep heading for the
second energy source, which was where the others had been heading before
they'd lost contact.
Later, the four teens
were chained up in front of an angry mob who all wanted their
destruction, incited by the general Yatru
into thinking they were spies.
Yatru ordered for them
to be taken to the surface and destroyed, but the cloaked and masked
Zhane and Andros stormed in and ordered them to
be released; Yatru said they were more spies
and told the guards to capture them, but the two pulled Astro Blasters and aimed them at the
guards.
Andros declared that
they weren't spies, and nor were the four teens; he and Zhane then
removed their masks as he declared they were Power
Rangers, stunning the crowd.
Taikwa knew Andros and Zhane, and Andros was surprised to see her there; she
explained that they had been in hiding since escaping from KO-35.
Yatru insisted that
the teens were spies and ordered for them to be destroyed, but Andros and Zhane again aimed their Astro Blasters at the guards; the guards
were confused and reluctant to act, so Andros
had them lower their Astro Blasters.
Frustrated, Yatru said
he'd destroy them himself if he had to, and Coralizer stormed in; as chaos
ensued, Yatru fled the scene, but Zhane
chased him through the tunnels of the compound.
After morphing, Zhane tackled Yatru, but the general fought back fiercely.
After getting a bit of a pounding, Zhane summoned
the Super Silverizer and
delivered a slash to Yatru's chest as the
general charged, and he then morphed into Darkonda.
Soon, Darkonda was
pounding morphed Zhane, and he knocked the Silverizer from Zhane's arm
and then slashed him back.
Kinwon threw Zhane his
Silverizer, calling out
his name, and Zhane slashed Darkonda in the
stomach, causing him to reel back and explode after declaring that he'd
be back.
Morphed Zhane thanked Kinwon, telling him he'd saved his life, and Kinwon hugged him.
Soon, Zhane had decided to stay to help the Rebels, as they were building weapons to defend
themselves against Dark Specter.
Ashley sweetly kissed
Zhane on the cheek, and the teens all said
goodbye, with Andros hugging Zhane.
Zhane planned to be back someday when they least
suspected it.
630-DSR2
As the Rangers
used the Astro Megazord, Delta Megazord, and Mega Voyager to attempt to push Dark Specter's giant asteroid off-course from
Earth, Andros said they
just needed a little more power, at which point the new Mega Winger flew in piloted by Zhane and added
the needed extra power.
Zhane said he was back, saying he'd known they'd
miss him eventually; he then said, "Now let's take care of this,"
probably having already known about the asteroid.
After the Megazords
had changed the asteroid's course, the teens
were on the bridge of the Megaship when Zhane entered from the workbay.
The teens were happy to
see Zhane.
Zhane explained that the Rebels had built the Mega Winger and that it was awesome.
DECA announced that the Dark Fortress had been located in quadrant
446.7 behind the planet Vraden; Andros asked DECA to pinpoint Karone,
and Zhane was surprised he'd found his sister.
As Andros worked at the
"Operations & Safety" console, Ashley pulled
Zhane aside and told him they'd found out Astronema was Karone
and that Darkonda had kidnapped her; T.J. said she'd defected to their side but that
something had happened when she'd gone to the Dark Fortress to reprogram the asteroid.
Zhane exclaimed that he'd known there was
something good about Astronema.
As Andros prepared to
head out, Zhane joined him, saying he had an interest in her too,
confusing Andros.
Morphed, Andros and
Zhane flew through space on their gliders and
caught up with a Velocifighter, then
surreptitiously leapt onto its back for it to take them to the Dark Fortress.
After the Velocifighter had landed in the Dark Fortress's cargo bay, Andros and Zhane sneaked off without being seen,
then demorphed behind some
crates and kept going.
As they went, Andros
asked Zhane, "You went out on a date with my sister?" but Zhane
explained he hadn't known it was his sister, and it hadn't even really
been a date.
As they sneaked elsewhere, Andros tapped Zhane on the shoulder and asked,
"Just one date?"; Zhane replied that it really hadn't been anything.
Andros and Zhane soon
tackled two patrolling Quantrons and then
emerged wearing their complete suits.
Looking for Quantrons, Elgar spoke
to the disguised Andros and Zhane, telling them
to keep their eyes open for Power
Rangers.
Passing two more Quantrons, Andros and
Zhane entered the control room and found Astronema sitting in her strategy seat in her
quarters.
As they removed their helmets, Andros talked to Karone,
but she didn't respond; instead, she turned to them blankly with
circuitry along the right side of her face, and her suit had been
modified for a more mechanical look; she still wore her locket.
Astronema's face was
pale, and with a calm, evil smirk, she told Ecliptor to get them.
As Zhane struggled with Ecliptor, Andros told
Karone he was her brother, but she blankly
replied that she was Astronema.
After throwing off all his Quantron armor in a burst to fight other Quantrons, Zhane convinced Andros that they had to go, as Astronema had been brainwashed, and Andros angrily threw off his armor and left with
Zhane while Astronema watched unmoved.
Fighting off many Quantrons in the warehouse area outside, Andros and Zhane morphed, then hijacked two Velocifighters for their escape, probably
Zhane's idea.
Later, while the Mega
Voyager fought giant Frightwing, Zhane flew Mega Winger down from the Ganymede base to help, then soon transferred its
wings to form the Winged Mega Voyager.
Later on the bridge with Zhane and Alpha, Andros looked at
a display of the circuitry on Karone's head as
DECA told him Karone's
emotions had been overridden by computer programming; Karone was still inside Astronema, but she was no longer in control,
and Andros swore to get her back somehow.
631-RGPs
Zhane wasn't with the Rangers to fight the owl monster one evening, and he
didn't initially go with them to the Surf
Spot the next day or to the Warehouse District to confront
the Psycho Rangers impersonating the Space Rangers.
Just as the Psycho
Rangers were draining knowledge from the Rangers after pummeling them, Zhane arrived
from his cyber-tunnel and crashed in on the Silver Cycle, and the Psychos vanished after being blasted by the
cycle's headlights.
As Zhane helped the Rangers up, Andros
told Zhane it was fortunate for them that he hadn't been far away.
From the Megaship
soon afterward, T.J. called Zhane; in civilian
clothes at a market downtown, Zhane was scanning
with an AmScanner before
answering his Digimorpher.
Zhane secretively
ran to an empty area nearby before answering, yet his Digimorpher looked like a normal cell phone;
thus, his hiding was probably far more conspicious than it would have
been for him to merely answer the phone.
Immediately after hanging up, Zhane was attacked
by Psycho Blue and Psycho Black; he would later regain
consciousness tied to a chair in a cobweb-filled room of the old
library, then soon shatter a clay container and use a shard to saw
through his ropes.
After the Psychos
had fried the Rangers but had then been
warped away, Zhane rushed over to help the collapsed Rangers.
632-COnC
Zhane was now absent, but the Mega Voyager did use Mega Winger's wings.
633-Rift
Zhane was again absent from the Megaship and would remain absent during Ashley's kidnapping and the Rangers' fight with Psycho Pink.
As giant Psycho
Pink, in monster form, was stomping on the Mega Voyager, Zhane flew down blasting with
Mega Winger, telling the teens they could always count on him if they were
down.
Psycho Pink's
vines grabbed the Wing Blaster from Mega
Winger, and she blasted the Zord with its own weapon, embarrassing
Zhane.
When Cassie suggested
they use the Mega V-3 Missile Mode,
Zhane had them wait until Psycho Pink
was distracted by grappling Mega Winger in
her tentacles.
Zhane wasn't with the teens on the Megaship after Psycho Pink's destruction.
634-FOAK
Despite not being with the teens during their strategizing on the Megaship, Zhane rode up on the Silver Cycle while the Rangers fought the four Psychos in the plaza downtown; he told the
Psychos that if they were messing with
his friends, they were messing with him.
After Zhane was frustrated by the Psychos' continuing to pound the Rangers after he'd asked who was first, he
saw Cassie thrown back by Psycho Yellow, and he rushed to help her;
she told him they could use his help.
After T.J. had lost
consciousness from injury after the Psycho
Rangers had been warped away, the teens and
Zhane were beside T.J. in the infirmary when he awoke.
T.J., upset that his plan
hadn't worked, started to get up, but the others made him stay, and Andros said they were working on a new plan.
Inspired some time later, T.J. rushed to the bridge with Cassie; Andros and Ashley were already there, and Carlos and Zhane entered together from the Megalift, having been called there.
As the teens and Zhane
watched, T.J. spraypainted all five Ranger figures on the strategy table blue,
pleasing all of them as they understood T.J.'s
plan.
On Earth after T.J. had blasted the three Psychos with his Astro Blaster while Psycho Blue was confused by the five Blue
Rangers, blue lightning bolts
suddenly rained down from above, confusing and weakening the Rangers; the three Psychos, meanwhile, appeared dazed.
A silver Psycho
Ranger, Psycho Silver,
walked up, alarming the three Psycho
Rangers; as T.J. was alarmed as well, asking
who it was, Psycho Silver
replied in a distorted Zhane voice, "Guess."
Considering that
Zhane had known of T.J.'s plan, that the plan had
been working, that Zhane hadn't told the Rangers of his own plan, and that Zhane's
plan wouldn't succeed, whatever it was he was hoping to accomplish, it's
quite unknown what on Earth Zhane could have
been thinking.
After posing, Psycho Silver said, "I'm the
Silver Psycho Ranger, and I'm here to
destroy the Power Rangers once and for
all!"; the Rangers all appeared
apprehensive, but Psycho Black told him
to dream on, as the Rangers were theirs.
Psycho
Silver pulled out a sleek, evil version of the Super Silverizer bearing the
Psychos' N insignia and told the Psychos while approaching the Rangers that they had no idea who they were
dealing with, boldly insisting that the Rangers were his.
Psycho
Silver leapt in and slashed all of the Rangers, appearing to cause them actual
harm.
As Psycho
Silver defeated the Rangers, the Psychos were angered rather than
intimidated, but as Psycho Red and Psycho Black approached the stranger, Psycho Blue blasted them both and told them
he'd handle Psycho Silver
alone; they warped away with disgust.
Psycho Blue held
out his hand, making painful mist blow up around Psycho Silver; he then prepared
to attack the one Blue Ranger
left standing, but morphed T.J., from elsewhere,
leapt off Psycho Silver's
shoulders and slashed Psycho Blue's left
eye with the Astro Axe, cracking
it.
As Psycho
Silver stood with the Rangers, the
four impostor blue suits shattered away.
Zhane removed his helmet triumphantly as Psycho Blue was stunned, then, after being
blasted at, clicked open his Digimorpher
and morphed into Silver Ranger.
After the Winged Mega
Voyager had destroyed giant Psycho-monster Blue, Andros congratulated Zhane on the assist, jokingly
calling him "Psycho Zhane."
On the Megaship,
Andros told Zhane in a corridor that since the
Mega Voyager's circuits had been
overloaded, he wanted to make sure the Megaship was ready if they wanted to form
the Astro Megazord, and Zhane agreed,
"You got it," walking off as Andros took the lift to the bridge.
635-SiGo
After the four teens had
located Cassie at the mall from the Megaship while the Psycho teens were hunting her down using
her voice, Zhane interrupted in a clown suit with balloons as the Psycho teens were surrounding Cassie in a secluded area; he winked to Cassie over his oversized glasses.
After Zhane had pranced away around a corner, the
three refusing his offers of candy and such, Zhane's and Cassie's voices, around the corner, talked about
fooling the Psycho Rangers.
Hearing Pink Ranger, the Psycho teens rounded the corner to find
Zhane's discarded clown items; from elsewhere, Zhane called out for them
to catch them if they could, and as the Psychos pursued him, morphed Zhane was
racing away on the Silver
Cycle with a boombox strapped to his back.
After the six Rangers had defeated the Psychos but caused them to grow to giant
size in their monster forms, the five Rangers had summoned Mega Voyager.
While Psycho
Black pounded the grappled Mega
Voyager, Zhane flew down in Mega Winger blasting Psycho Black, and the Delta Megazord also flew down to help.
After the Mega
Voyager had been stolen once the five Rangers had ejected, the teens and Zhane went to the Megaship bridge to scan for the stolen Megazord.
636-EnWi
Suddenly, the computer pinpointed the Mega Vehicles, and Andros, looking at the display, said it was a
planet in the M94 galaxy.
Zhane stood in the teens' path, suspecting the easy discovery was a
trap, so he planned to go after the V-Zords as a distraction while the others
took another way in.
As Andros walked down
the hallway of the Megaship with an
apple as the teens unwound after destroying the
Psycho Rangers, he was confronted by
Psycho Red (who snatched the apple from him), but after being pounded,
Zhane removed the helmet of his Psycho Red costume, having been joking
around; to get back at him, Andros flipped
Zhane onto the floor.
The origin of Zhane's Psycho Red costume, much
like the Psycho Silver suit
he'd worn in 634-FOAK, is unknown, though the
Simudeck might be a possibility.
639-Ghst
While the Rangers
fought the resurrected Psycho Rangers in
Secret City, Andros told Alpha to
get ahold of Zhane and tell him to go after the data cards in the control room.
Zhane, not having appeared since 636-EnWi, ran up to Secret City's main tower in civilian clothes.
When Ecliptor
confronted him outside the tower, Zhane morphed and quickly defeated him with
the Silverizer .
In the Data
Laser's control room, Zhane opened a file cabinet drawer which
contained hundreds of data cards
all lined up; quickly figuring out the computer, he proceeded to restore
everyone after his first three test subjects, which turned out to be Bulk, Skull, and Professor Phenomenus.
Once the last of the people had been teleported home, the Rangers led the Psychos into the room, and Zhane attempted
to maneuver the laser over the Psychos
during the fight in the test room.
Watching the blue and red dots dance around the
monitoring screen on the controls, Zhane remarked, "I knew all those
years of playing video games would pay off one day!"
Zhane told Andros to get
them all to the center, and after much struggling, the Rangers finally pushed them all together
into the center, at which point Zhane scanned them up.
Suddenly, the ground rumbled, and T.J. assumed the Psychos had overloaded the system; as the
controls went haywire and the five Rangers ran out, an explosion knocked the Psychos' data cards from Zhane's hand.
White beams began spraying out from the Data Laser, and the tower then
exploded, taking Secret City with it; there
was a large explosion of water in the ocean, and the five unmorphed teens collapsed onto the sand at a rocky beach.
The teens called out for
Zhane, and he came up to them, having been unsuccessful at getting back
the data cards.
640-IWeb
Probably months later, the powerless teens were captured by Darkonda's army of Quantrons on the desert planet Forza while the Megaship was trapped in the Dark Fortress's energy web.
As Darkonda ordered
the teens to be destroyed, a massive explosion
flung Quantrons about; as a vehicle drove up
in the distance, the teens didn't know who it
was, but as soon as morphed Zhane called out from the new Galactic Rover to ask if they
needed any help, Cassie suddenly realized it
was Zhane.
Darkonda charged at
Zhane, and he raced at Darkonda; after giving
him one last chance, Zhane drove right through Darkonda, destroying him.
Zhane introduced the teens to the Galactic Rover.
Told by Alpha that Ecliptor had discovered Mega Voyager's location and was going there
to destroy it, Andros told Zhane he had to stop
him, and Zhane hopped back into the Rover, then flew his silver glider to Ganymede.
Inside and then outside the moonbase, Zhane fought the red-colored,
superpowered Ecliptor clumsily with the Super Silverizer ; outside,
Ecliptor was impervious to the Silverizer slashes and
blasts.
Ecliptor grew to giant
size, making Zhane asked if he didn't think it was a little unfair.
As the Mega Winger
was being pounded, the Rangers arrived
with the Astro and Delta Megazords.
Shortly after Ecliptor
and the Astro Megazord had left, the
damaged Mega Winger sparked and collapsed
amongst the ruined moonbase interior, with
Zhane replying to Andros's call for help by
saying that he was down himself.
Later, unmorphed Cassie,
T.J., and Zhane surveyed the absolute destruction
inside the moonbase.
Zhane found a console that was still working, and
Cassie said it was from the main computer bank.
Zhane gave the teens on
the Megaship the good news that the
power systems were intact and that they'd have it fixed in no time.
641-LITS
As the five Rangers, abducted to a desert wasteland perhaps on another planet and unable to contact the Megaship, tried desperately to fight the
seemingly indestructible Tankenstein, Zhane suddenly raced in driving the Galactic Rover.
The Rover eventually destroyed Tankenstein, but it was
reassembled and enlarged by the Satellasers.
When giant Tankenstein self-destructed high
above the ground holding the Mega Voyager,
pieces of the Megazord rained down on the desert; the five unmorphed and blackened teens soon got out from the wreckage, relatively
unhurt.
Zhane drove up in the Galactic Rover, removed his
helmet, and asked if the teens were okay.
642-CTD1
As Cogs, Quadrafighters, and perhaps Piranhatrons (with the Piranhatrons only shown in a preview for
this episode) attacked KO-35, Taikwa entered a large command tent and told Kinwon that the villains had penetrated the outer barrier
and that the inner defenses were already being pushed back; she handed
him some documents.
Other generals were with Kinwon, as was Zhane, in his Megaship uniform.
Kinwon said they
couldn't resist Astronema's attacks much
longer and needed reinforcements, so Zhane left, planning to return with
the other Rangers.
As morphed Zhane flew through space on his silver glider, he was shot at by
Velocifighters, but the Megaship destroyed them.
Walking toward the bridge with Andros, Zhane told him that the Rebels were under attack and needed help, but Andros explained that villains were invading all over, listing Dark Specter, Astronema, Divatox,
and Rita and Zedd.
Learning of the various invasions taking place,
Zhane was surprised to realize the villains were
trying to conquer the whole universe, and Andros agreed with the sentiment.
As the Megaship
blasted at hundreds of Velocifighters
still in Earth orbit, Zhane volunteered to stay
on the Megaship, and the others flew
down to Angel Grove.
Soon, Zhane flew the
Megaship into the atmosphere under fire
while large amounts of steam were pouring out of the engine room; he suddenly took the Megalift to Megadeck
6 and declared while rushing out near the engine room that he needed the Mega Winger.
643-CTD2
That night in the ravaged Angel Grove, unmorphed Zhane stumbled up to
the teens' campfire in civilian clothes,
telling them he'd survived but the Mega
Winger hadn't.
When asked, Zhane told them the Rebels had surrendered.
As Andros hoped to go to
the Dark Fortress to get through to his
sister, Zhane told Andros to face that there
was no more Karone, but Andros refused to believe that.
The next morning as Astronema, frustrated by the Rangers' remaining in hiding, prepared to
let the destruction of Earth begin, the four
teens and Zhane trotted up and watched worriedly from behind a wrecked
bus.
When people, initiated by Bulk, began stepping forward and declaring that they
were Power Rangers, the teens were awed;
angry, Astronema ordered for them all to be
destroyed, and as her forces closed in, she and Ecliptor blasted into the crowd, causing chaos
to erupt below.
Suddenly, the teens and
Zhane called out from atop a stone wall, and T.J.
declared that they were the Power
Rangers, awing the crowd into silence.
In front of the crowd, the teens morphed
and began fighting Astronema's troops, aided
by the crowd after Bulk and Skull had
rallied to help them.
After the energy wave from Zordon's destruction had dissolved the villains and demorphed the Rangers, the people cheered, and everyone
hugged and congratulated the teens and Zhane,
with Skull giving Cassie an enormous hug from behind.
The teens soon wandered
through the crowd, giving high fives, but were otherwise left alone;
they seemed a bit shaken up despite being happy about the victory.
Probably another day on KO-35, the four teens
prepared to fly home in the Megaship
while Andros, Zhane, and Karone were planning to remain on KO-35.
As the four teens
readied for liftoff, Andros got in to go with
them, saying his home was with them, and Karone
and Zhane went with him.
Entering, Zhane said the "Megazord," referring to
the Mega Winger, was in the shop and asked
for a ride.
As the teens and Karone talked happily, Zhane sat at a command
station and kicked his feet up, making the teens and Karone laugh.
730-TenP
Upwards of a year after 643-CTD2, the Space teens visited Terra Venture to help the Galaxy Rangers against the Psycho Rangers, but no mention was made of
Zhane.
"Zhane."
