329-MVA1.
- When Master Vile
said that his master plan involved the Zeo Crystal, Ninjor told him before fleeing the moon palace that the crystal would never be
his.
- According to Zordon, the
Zeo Crystal was one of the most powerful forces in the universe.
- Thousands of years ago, the people of galaxy M51 had hid the Zeo Crystal from Master Vile deep inside the Caves of Deception, beneath the surface
of Earth's moon, and
placed a powerful forcefield around it to protect it from anyone not
pure of heart.
- In a flashback of the hiding of the Zeo Crystal,
two people in purple cloaks, one with a green cloth hanging down his
back, both with staffs, secured the Zeo Crystal in a stone podium and
created a forcefield around it by waving their staves around; one of the
two people may have been a woman, while the other had a gray beard.
- According to Zordon, the
Zeo Crystal's power increased with time,
meaning Master Vile could rule the universe if he got the crystal.
- When Zedd told Vile that the forcefield would destroy anyone
who possessed even an ounce of evil, Rita sadly
told Vile, "He's right, Daddy! He tried to
get the Zeo Crystal once, and look what happened to Zeddy's face!", but she was merely joking.
- Zedd said that the
forcefield was nothing to joke about, and Rita
added that no one had ever been able to penetrate it.
- After the Rangers had been
forced to use the Metallic Armor to
fight the super-strong Tengas, Zordon said the situation was deteriorating sooner
than he'd thought it would and that, as he'd feared, one of the Rangers would have to capture and destroy the Zeo
Crystal to prevent Master Vile from
obtaining it.
330-MVA2.
- After traveling through the Caves of Deception and enduring a number
of illusions crafted to make him think otherwise about going after the
crystal, morphed Tommy shoved his hand into the
Zeo Crystal's forcefield; after Tommy had lifted
the crystal out of its stone podium, he continued to be bathed in
flashes of white light and the sparkles of the forcefield as he
remembered wrecking the Command Center
and attacking the Rangers in the Dino Megazord cockpit as the Green Ranger.
- Red energy came from the podium and wrapped
around Tommy, then flowed into the Zeo Crystal,
and Tommy remembered fighting Zedd's Putties with the Rangers as the Green
Ranger and fighting Face
Stealer with the others as the White
Ranger.
- After Tommy's good
memories, the forcefield faded, as did the Kat
illusion in the Caves of Deception.
- In the chamber of
command, morphed Tommy held out the Zeo
Crystal, and it drained all the evil from Kat that
the Revivafier had put in
her.
- The Zeo Crystal was being stored temporarily in
the Falconzord's engine room as the Ninjazords and Shogunzords fought giant Globbor.
331-MVA3.
- Master Vile had sent
the Zords to a conquered planet in the M51 galaxy, moved the Zeo Crystal from the Falconzord to the Shogun Megazord, and established an energy
link with the crystal to activate it from anywhere.
? Although Billy and Zordon said the
Zeo Crystal had been moved into the Ninja
Megazord, the Rangers actually entered the Shogun Megazord and found the crystal
there.
- Zordon told the Rangers to use their Power
Coins to activate the Zeo Crystal to free it from Master Vile's control, but that if they
drained their powers too much, they wouldn't have enough energy to
return home.
- When Master Vile
decided it was time to activate the Zeo Crystal and destroy the world, he released blue and yellow energy snakes
from both hands, after which red eyebeams from the Ninja Megazord, Falconzord, and Shogun Megazord combined into a single red
beam which shot to Earth and decimated entire
buildings.
- The Zeo Crystal was in a central podium in the Shogun Megazord's engine room.
- The Rangers still intended
to destroy the Zeo Crystal, but first they had to break Master Vile's connection to it.
- The Rangers used the
energy of their Power Coins, combined with
the Morphing Grid's energy that was being
drawn by the Shogun Megazord's panels,
to break Master Vile's connection with the
Zeo Crystal; in the process, they also regained control and full power
to the Zords.
- The Zeo Crystal could be seen to consist of five
different thin subcrystals, each with a
different shape: the circle, the double bars, the triangle, the square,
and the star.
- After making Master
Vile retreat, the Rangers went to the desert to destroy the Zeo Crystal; Billy had them use the Metallic Armor to protect them from extra
energy that might be thrown off during the crystal's destruction.
- When Kat asked whether the
crystal could be destroyed, Billy suggested that
they break the crystal into pieces and scatter them, saying they
couldn't allow any chance for Master Vile
to assemble the crystal ever again.
- Morphed Tommy threw the
Zeo Crystal into the air then sliced it with Saba
as it fell back down, breaking it into its five component subcrystals.
? In the desert, it seemed that Billy thought for them to break the crystal into
pieces and scatter them, but after morphed Tommy
had split the crystal apart, the teens already
knew that Zordon was creating a temporary hole
in time and space
and that they would have only ten seconds to throw the subcrystals through the time hole.
- Tommy said that nobody,
not even they, the teens, would know where the
subcrystals were.
- When each of the five Rangers but White
Ranger picked up a subcrystal, Rocky picked
up the star, Adam the circle,
Aisha the square, Billy
the triangle, and Kat the double
bars.
338-Bulk.
- In the simulated past (see "Orb of
Doom"), Zordon said that there was only one
object on Earth strong enough to restore time and the teens'
powers: the Zeo Crystal.
- Young Tommy said that the
Zeo Crystal's pieces were scattered all over the Earth, and Billy noted that
Zordon had sent them through a time hole vortex to make them very
difficult to find, but though the powers they emanated, Zordon had been able to pinpoint the country and
time period in which each subcrystal was
located; this seems to indicate that Zordon had
not originally chosen the subcrystals' destination time periods and
countries.
- Zordon told the kids that they must seek out the subcrystals
separately, as each one restored a particular Ranger; he said it would be a quest for their
roots, and if they succeeded, each subcrystal would restore each kid's true age and powers greater than they had
ever imagined.
? It's unknown how the
five Zeo Subcrystals had come to be located in countries and time
periods appropriate to five of the teens'
heritages, or why the five subcrystals' locations excluded Billy, who had in 336-CEvF already restored his own age, making
him unable to activate a subcrystal, since, as Zordon explained, the subcrystals would only
respond to those still affected by the Orb of
Doom's time regression.
339-WYTh.
- The kids, Billy, and the Aquitians came to the spot, near what
looked like a dried-up pond in the foothills, which was the longitude
and latitude Zordon had calculated as the
beginning point for the kids' quests.
- Delphine
told the kids to look for connections to their
heritages and that the spirits of their ancestors would show them the
way.
- A swirling dark blue cloud crackling with white
energy filled up the rocky basin in the location Zordon had pinpointed for the starting point for
the kids' quests for the Zeo Subcrystals; each
of the kids sequentially jumped into the
swirling cloud, propelling them into their different destinations in time and space.
- Young Rocky, later that
day, was the first to return from his Zeo quest.
340-ACSp.
- Young Adam was the second
to return from his Zeo quest, seemingly a different day from Rocky's return.
341-SSOE.
- Young Kat and young Tommy simultaneously dropped out of the portal into
the Command Center a different day from
Rocky's and Adam's
earlier Zeo quests.
343-HdA2.
- After young Aisha had
spent a night and part of a day in Africa, young Tanya was the last to return with a subcrystal; she did so on a day
separate from the other kids' returns.
- When Billy stabbed the yellow subcrystal, the final piece,
into the other subcrystals in the crystal transformer, the yellow subcrystal glowed yellow as the
others glowed with multicolored energy, then all five glowed
multicolored as they spun around in the transformer, then they all
glowed light blue and projected a light blue stream of energy upward.
- The ground trembled as the Zeo Crystal came to
life.
- Glowing red, blue, green, yellow, and pink Zeo
shapes orbited the Earth and returned the planet to the present, undoing the Orb of Doom's effects.
? Young Bulk and Skull were at a playground having a
swinging contest; when the Zeo Crystal restored time, they were still wearing the same clothes
and were still concentrating on the swinging contest, but they both soon
grew confused, and they planned not to tell anybody about what had just
happened.
? The five teens were all in the Command Center, where they had been as kids before the time
restoration, and they were wearing identical (but larger) versions of
their kid clothes.
- Billy and the Aquitian Rangers were unaffected by the time restoration.
- When the Zeo Crystal restored time and thus the proper ages of the teens, it also made young Tanya, who was from an unknown time in Africa, the
same age as the teens; her memories and
continuity of thought were apparently unaffected during the time transition, indicating that the time
period Tanya was from had been under the effects
of the Orb of Doom's time regression.
- After the Zeo Crystal had returned time to the present, Zordon had Alpha
locate Aisha in Africa again to make sure that
she had made the transition safely; Aisha, a
teen again, walked back to Ashalla, and Ashalla hugged her, telling her,
"Welcome home, child," not appearing confused that Aisha had left as a child but returned as a teen.
? Once time had been restored, the teens (Tanya not included) and Billy were able to use their communicators to teleport with their old Ranger colors, despite the destruction of the
Power Coins and the new links to the
subcrystals' colors.
- When Goldar took the Zeo
Crystal from the crystal
transformer, it glowed briefly with red energy, and Rito and Goldar then
teleported away; twenty seconds later, the implosion device's timer
reached zero, beginning a series of small explosions, and over forty
seconds after that, the Command Center
finally exploded completely.
? When Alpha teleported the six teens out of the Command Center as it was exploding, they teleported with their old Ranger colors, with Tanya's color being yellow even though she was
never the Yellow Mighty Morphin' Power
Ranger.
400-PRZP.
? The Power Rangers had been missing for some time, and
it had been quiet in Angel Grove for
several weeks, when the Machine Empire
arrived, but at that time, Rita and Zedd were just starting to celebrate their
victory over the Rangers; exactly how the Zeo
Crystal had restored time and undone the
time spent in the Orb of Doom's time regression is unknown.
? When Rita was shocked by what she saw in her telescope while looking at
Earth, Zedd asked
if Rito and Goldar had
done something stupid again, but in 343-HdA2, Rito and Goldar had been in the process of trying to
steal the Zeo Crystal before the Command
Center was destroyed; why Rita and Zedd weren't concerned about the Zeo Crystal
in these previews or in 401-AZB1 is unknown.
401-AZB1.
- The six teens spotted a
gleam of light from beneath the rubble of the Command Center; the teens removed the pieces of debris and discovered
that it was the Zeo Crystal, briefly glowing yellow as it was unearthed.
? The Zeo Crystal was somehow still in the rubble of
the destroyed Command Center, and Rito and Goldar were now
amnesic on a residential street in Angel Grove; the two villains no longer had
their swords, and Goldar had lost his wings.
- Tommy held the Zeo
Crystal up, and it again glowed yellow, this time until shortly before
Tommy went to put it down.
- Adam supposed that Rito and Goldar had dropped
the Zeo Crystal, but he couldn't believe it had survived the blast.
- After Kat asked if the Zeo
Crystal still had its power, Zeo-colored pulses of energy flew
from it; Rocky remarked that he thought the
crystal had heard her.
- Billy told Tommy not to hold the Zeo Crystal, as there was no
telling what effect the implosion had had on it.
- The moment Tommy had
placed the Zeo Crystal on the ground, white energy flashed outward from
it and glowed around the six teens' feet as the
chunk of earth beneath them began to sink.
? The six teens said they couldn't move their feet,
preventing them from moving elsewhere, yet all throughout the sinking
process, their feet could be seen moving around.
- After sinking down several feet, the ground
beneath the teens suddenly dropped and then
crumbled as they fell down a long shaft.
- As soon as the teens had
fallen down the shaft, pieces of rubble in the ruins of the Command Center began to levitate and
reassemble themselves.
- The six teens landed
with a crash in the Command Center basement.
402-AZB2.
- Zordon said that the Zeo
Crystal would bring the teens much greater
powers than they had ever thought possible.
- Zordon told the teens to behold the fully-energized Zeo Crystal,
then white energy bolts shot out from his eyes and created a translucent
image of the Zeo Crystal floating near him for a moment, until his
energy bolts made it vanish.
- The Zeo Crystal appeared from blue energy rings;
it was hovering in the Power Chamber,
then with white energy rings it split up into its subcrystals, each
glowing with its Zeo color; the
pieces hovered over their owners' heads, shining their Zeo colors down onto each teen.
- Each teen's Ranger helmet descended onto his or her head from
the subcrystal hovering above, and Zeo-colored energy then suited him
or her up as a Zeo Ranger.
- Zordon explained to Tommy, Adam, and Rocky that the subcrystals they had retrieved had
given them new colors.
- After suiting the Rangers up, the subcrystals turned sideways and
flew into the Rangers' Zeo-shaped visors.
- Zordon told the Rangers that the power of the Zeo Crystal now
resided within them.
428-PwOG.
- The energy signatures of the Zeo Subcrystals and
Pyramidas were an exact match; Pyramidas and the Zeo
Rangers were using the same energy source.
434-GHom.
- To energize the Golden Power Staff and buy the teens more time to find a new Gold Ranger, the staff was in a bed of glowing red
crystal, just inside the western double
door alcove of the Power Chamber,
with only the pink Zeo Subcrystal
visible in the bed; the others may have been present but obscured by the
other thin, pointy crystals in the group.
- While the "Zeo Crystals" were being used to
energize the Golden Power Staff, the
teens couldn't morph, and teleportation only worked within a certain
radius around the Power Chamber.
- The Treys said that the Super Zeo Gems, which they called the
remaining key to the Zeo power, had been in their care for over a
millennium, waiting to be returned to their rightful owners; Zordon had thought that the Super Zeo Gems had been lost forever.
500-TPRM.
- When semi-morphed Kat
plunged into a body of water after failing to completely morph during her fall, the morph shorted out with pink impact
waves on the surface of the water and pink flashes of light underwater,
with Kat now back to her unmorphed form.
- Zordon said that if Divatox joined forces with Maligore, not even the Zords (Zeozords, Super Zeozords, etc.) would be able to stop
them; this would be the last time anything Zeo-powered would be
mentioned or seen, with the exception of the Gold Ranger's reappearance in 642-CTD2 and 643-CTD3.

- When each of the five Rangers but White
Ranger picked up a subcrystal, Adam picked up
the piece bearing the circle.
341-SSOE.
- For her Zeo quest, young Kat appeared from the dark blue time cloud, which was in a hollowed-out tree
trunk, in the Outback in an unknown time period.
- Young Kat was walking down
a dirt road with vehicle tracks in it when Agatha, a girl looking just
like Kat's teenage form, dressed in pink, drove up
in a jeep.
- When young Kat mentioned
looking for a crystal, Agatha replied, "The crystal? Yes, of course,
why didn't you say so? I've been waiting for you."; she told young Kat it was hidden and that she would show her to it.
- Agatha stopped the jeep by an old woman with a
cane who looked just like Kat would as an old
lady; the woman said she'd wandered away from her home and couldn't find
her way back, but Agatha told young Kat that the
crystal would be lost if they didn't get to it immediately; Kat got out anyway to walk the old woman home.
- Just before turning away for young Kat to walk her home, the old woman smiled at Agatha.
- Agatha watched young Kat
and the old woman walk away, then after wishing Kat luck with a smile, vanished along with the jeep
in pink energy.
- At her farm house, the old woman insisted that
she give young Kat a token of her appreciation; Kat tried to refuse, but the woman brought out from
her house a black chest containing the pink subcrystal.
- The pink subcrystal was initially glowing pink
when young Kat removed it from the chest, but the
energy then flowed down her arms.
- The woman told young Kat
that when people sacrificed their need to help others, they were always
rewarded; she told young Kat she was very proud of
her, and they both hugged.
- Young Kat and young Tommy simultaneously dropped out of the portal into
the Command Center a different day from
Rocky's and Adam's
earlier Zeo quests; Kat had a pink energy oval
around her.

- When each of the five Rangers but White
Ranger picked up a subcrystal, Kat picked up
the piece bearing the double bars.
342-HdA1.
- On her Zeo quest, young Aisha appeared in an African savannah in what
seemed to be the present (see "Tanya").
343-HdA2.
- Ashalla
told young Aisha that she, Aisha, had come to learn, to reach her potential,
and to deliver them from this time of great struggle, in which the
animals were sick from a plague and thus threatened the camp; she said that Aisha was the chosen one.
- When young Aisha
interjected that she had been sent there on a quest to find something,
Ashalla said that she had often
called on the power of her personal talisman (actually the yellow
subcrystal) when she was unsure; she gave it to Aisha now in hopes that she would stay.
- The yellow subcrystal was in a decorated chest,
glowing green.
- Yellow energy flowed up young Aisha's arms when she held it, and the subcrystal
became colorless.
- When young Aisha
exclaimed that the subcrystal was what she had been sent to find, Ashalla said that they had been told
that there would be a time when it would save them and that perhaps that
day had arrived.
? For young Tanya to return with the yellow subcrystal in Aisha's place, the two girls had to return to the
location where young Aisha had first arrived in
Africa, but all of the other subcrystals had been able to open portals
back home in locations other than the kids'
starting points.
- As young Aisha gave the
yellow subcrystal to young Tanya, yellow energy
flowed up Tanya's arms from the crystal.
- After young Aisha and
young Tanya had said their goodbyes to each
other, Tanya flew up into the portal above her
with yellow energy double bars, then in the Command Center, dropped down from the
portal with the same double bars.
- After young Aisha had
spent a night and part of a day in Africa, young Tanya was the last to return with a subcrystal; she
did so on a day separate from the other kids'
returns.
- In the Command
Center, young Tanya, knowing who Billy was, handed him the yellow subcrystal and
told him that the crystal was for him; she was presumably giving him the
crystal for him to unite the Zeo Crystal,
but another possibility is that she was transferring ownership of the
crystal to him.
- When Billy stabbed the
yellow subcrystal, the final piece, into the other subcrystals in the crystal transformer, the
yellow subcrystal glowed yellow as the others glowed with multicolored
energy, then all five glowed multicolored as they spun around in the transformer, the Zeo Crystal having been activated.
- When the Zeo Crystal
restored time and thus the proper ages of
the teens, it also made young Tanya, who was from an unknown time in Africa, the
same age as the teens; her memories and
continuity of thought were apparently unaffected during the time transition, indicating that the time
period Tanya was from had been under the effects

- After the Zeo
Crystal had returned time to the
present, Zordon had Alpha locate Aisha in
Africa again to make sure that she had made the transition safely; Aisha, a teen again, walked back to Ashalla, and Ashalla hugged her, telling her,
"Welcome home, child," not appearing confused that Aisha had left as a child but returned as a teen.
402-AZB2.
- After Zordon had shown
the teens an image of the fully-energized Zeo Crystal, Billy
reminded everyone that the five subdivisions of the Zeo Crystal would only provide enough power
for five Rangers; Tanya volunteered to step down, since Billy was more experienced than she was.
- Billy admitted that although they all had more
experience than Tanya, working with the Aquitian Rangers had made him realize that
his being in the Power Chamber might be
more important than his being a Ranger; he
said he thought it was time to pass the power on to someone else, and he
said he was giving "his" crystal to Tanya; from
this point on, he said, she was a Power
Ranger.

339-WYTh.
- On his Zeo quest, young Rocky appeared in a wheat field in what appeared to
be Mexico's past, seemingly near the time when Rocky's grandfather was a boy.
- Young Rocky's mentioning
a crystal made Pablo nervous; Pablo then said that he only knew
of one crystal, the "Crystal of the Volcano" (actually the blue Zeo
Subcrystal).
- The legend in Pablo's village said there was a
crystal in the volcano above the village, and that its magic was very
powerful; no one had ever been brave enough to climb the volcano and
claim it.
- Pablo
told young Rocky that the crystal was supposed
to be located under the summit of the volcano near an old charred tree
stump; Rocky used a rope to climb down into the
volcano to retrieve his subcrystal.
- As Rocky climbed down,
the volcano was trembling, and it had magma inside at the bottom.
- The blue subcrystal was sticking out of the rock
inside the volcano, glowing yellowish-green, and then crackling with
green electricity as young Rocky reached for it;
the volcano quaked violently and had explosions in the magma.
- After Rocky had removed the blue subcrystal and
held it close, blue energy flowed down his arm from the now uncolored
subcrystal.
- The volcano was calm once Rocky had removed the subcrystal.
- After being thanked by the local villagers, young
Rocky held out his subcrystal, and a triangle
outline made of white energy appeared and opened up above him a dark
blue portal, into which he flew upward and vanished.
- Young Rocky dropped out
of the portal in the Command Center with
the white energy triangle.
- Young Rocky was the first
of the five kids to return from his Zeo quest.

- For his Zeo quest, young Adam found himself in the Diamond Mountains in
Korea, where his grandmother had been born; he presumed he was in the
past.
- As young Adam anticipated,
the green subcrystal was sticking out of a rock, hidden behind Kai-Ogi's waterfall.
- When young Adam held his
subcrystal, green energy flowed down his arms.
- Kai-Ogi said
that it had been Adam, not himself, who had found
the subcrystal.
- As young Adam casually
held his subcrystal by his side after exchanging goodbyes with Kai-Ogi, it generated a large square
outline from green energy, then sucked Adam up
into the portal.
- Young Adam dropped into
the Command Center from the portal with
the green energy square.
- Young Adam was the second
to return from his Zeo quest, seemingly a different day from Rocky's return.

- For his Zeo quest, young Tommy found himself in a Native American land in an unknown time
period.
- True of Heart
brought young Tommy to a place up the mountain
where crude drawings were on a rock wall; pointing to the drawings, True of Heart recounted to young Tommy the tale told by his people for generations:
"'A stranger will come,' so the story goes (pointing to drawing of a
person with long black ponytailed hair). 'He shall come in search of
the light,' symbolized by rock (points to sun and mountains, drawn close
together). 'A crystal (points to drawing of red subcrystal), pure in
power.' (points to crude drawing of Zeo
Ranger Five's helmet) Are you the one?"
- After young Tommy had
responded that he was looking for the crystal, True of Heart smiled and walked away
chuckling.
- To the right of the Zeo Ranger Five helmet was a drawing of Lord Zedd's staff, with arrows flying between
the helmet and staff; to the right of that was what looked like a
cluster of three teepees.
? True of Heart told young Tommy not to give in to worry but then immediately
afterward told him that he was running out of time and that if he didn't
find the crystal it would be lost forever.
- True of Heart
presented young Tommy with three slender
objects, each wrapped up in brown material; one was the red subcrystal,
while the others would insure that he remained there for all eternity;
young Tommy had to trust his heart, close his
eyes, and concentrate.
- The ground rumbled while young Tommy had his eyes closed, and the side two objects
vanished in small bursts of fire, leaving only the red subcrystal
behind.
- When young Tommy held his
subcrystal after unwrapping it, red energy flowed up his arm.
- True of Heart
congratulated Tommy on fulfilling his quest and
connecting to his inner self.
- True of Heart gave
young Tommy half an arrowhead, telling him he had also
earned it; he said it was to remember his time here, and that one day he
would find the other half, and then his personal quest would be
complete; True of Heart was in the
process of telling young Tommy what secret the
arrowhead would reveal when Tommy was sucked up into the portal above with a
red energy star.
- Young Kat and young Tommy simultaneously dropped out of the portal into
the Command Center a different day from
Rocky's and Adam's
earlier Zeo quests; Tommy had a red energy star
around him.
