Let's be honest. This site took way too much effort to compile, and there's no way it's getting updated. But with Wikipedia, who needs a Writer's Guide, eh?
5/22/05
New "The Story of Power Rangers" completed, MMPR through current SPD. Work resumes on reformatting old pages.
5/11/05
Thanks to a nifty program called Xenu's Link Sleuth, I think I've actually managed to fix every 404/missing page error in the guide (I know - I can hardly believe it myself). Also still working on reformatting pages into the new CSS style, after which I'll start writing PRTF entries! Oh, and one more plug: NoteTab Light is awesome for maintaining a consistent link list and auto-entering them into your document with a hotkey.
4/30/05
New alphabetical index pages added, much more comprehensive than the previous versions. If you still can't find what you're looking for under the letter you expect, you should have your head examined. Oh.. or, um, email me.
4/24/05
Joe again. Turns out I'll be trying my hand at Time Force and beyond, after I finish reformatting pages. I've also been trying to fix all the broken links on the Who/What/Where index pages with placeholders for all the subjects I hope the WG will contain some day, but the alphabetical indices aren't updated yet. More to come!

Hi, kids! It's your old pal Joe Rovang. I'm back and meddling with some old pages.. mainly to add a nicer look with the help of style sheets, but also to clarify some old entries that lack context. I'll be trying not to get in the way of Jesse's impending Time Force update, so we'll see if two editors can be a good thing and not cause too much chaos. Also uploading lots of pages back into place after switching to a much cheaper but more robust webhosting plan.

The Directory-index pages (the "who", "what", "where" stuff) now have listings for the majority of pertanent info of PRTF to (at least half of) PRDT. You'll notice, though, you link on any link from that era that doesn't have a "+" by it? And you'll find the page isn't there! What's the deal?! Well, why should the WG fall behind in even presenting basic facts, if the pure details are slow-coming? So if you want to know the names of all the Rangers, up to date, the basic names of the Zords, basic weapon names... well, there's a lot of sites you can hit for that info. But the indexes will at least reflect how the site WILL look eventually, and provide a resource for an overview at least. PRTF entries for episode 2 onward are still forthcoming, with PRDT entries literally on their heels.

First PRTF episode information is now available. You can find it all by looking for the entries with "+" signs on the WHO, WHAT, and WHERE pages. Don't expect any more PRTF updates until a few weeks to months, which'll cover the whole series at once (it may be slow-going or it may be fast, but it'll be done soon enough). Pictures will be added, if at all, then. Also added, to the WHO page, is character pages for every Ranger teen. Even though none above PRTF's first ep have any data yet, this will at least keep people informed on statuses, full names, and 1st & last appearances, until I get around to those areas.

1/15/04
Episode directory is up to date, while any character, item, or place that has appeared again after PRLR has gotten their pages updated with corrected "last appearance" info (mostly 1034-FRed stuff); PRTF entries should begin to appear soon, at least for the first episode. Just a reminder, the site is now unofficially called something like "Joe Rovang Presents 'A Writer's Guide To The PR Universe', Now Edited by SirSTACK." So tell yer friends.

6/15/02
Added plot summary for PRTF in PR Story page.
3/15/02
Added PR Multi-Timeline guide to Extras page of rovang.org.
3/9/02
Continuing to update Episode Directory with current episodes. A new standalone (non-WG) timeline may be released on my site in the future, depending on PRWF's continued relation to past continuity. Check back later for details.
10/20/01
Updated FAQ page. No further WG projects planned at this time, but feel free to check back periodically.
7/13/01
Changed Timeline and references to PRLG and PRLR placement to allow for both the 1999/2000 and 2003/2004 theories simultaneously until evidence arises to verify one.
7/11/01
Added new Episode Chronology section, taking the place of the old "When entries" section (which was itself rendered redundant with the addition of the Timeline). This new section ties together various episode ordering methods (many thanks to SirSTACK and his meticulous data collection) as well as continuity notes to allow for reader analysis of proper episode order, an area in which the WG has, until now, been lacking in freedom. The standard Episode Directory and associated epcode numeration may now be considered antiquated, unjustified, or quite simply incorrect, but due to the tremendous amount of work a total reformatting of all entry orders would entail (as well as the now obvious fact that there IS no "correct" order to use), the new Episode Chronology section is the best that can be offered at this point. Apologies for any inconvenience.
7/9/01
PRLR finally updated! Over 8,000 new entries and 280 images added. Relocated "Earth" under "Planets / Sol system" in place of previous geocentric categorization. Added new "Ask the Editor" entry addressing recycled locations. Added "Mutants" category in light of PRTF's distinctions.
5/2/01
Revised timeline extensively to more easily accomodate historical revisions via time travel. The most heavily modified era is the MMAR time regression and the ensuing Zeo quests through time, including a reworked theory of the ever-perplexing Aisha/Tanya swap. Of note is that former references to the 1988 regression now more clearly refer to the regression as a simulation of the past which never actually left the year 1996.
4/30/01
Moved "A Season to Remember" from 432-ASTR to 426-ASTR in episode guide to place it correctly in the year.
4/19/01
Currently in the early planning stages of a Writer's Guide compendium called WG Lite. Readers can quickly browse articles (in narrative format) before homing in on a topic of interest and searching for details in the corresponding WG section. Site will be designed with the casual fan in mind, allowing viewers unfamiliar with a season (or the entire show) to catch up on the basics. At this time, work will continue as normal on the original WG. Check back for further details.
2/7/01
