500-TPRM.
- Divatox's subcraft was
under a body of water, seemingly a lake, on Liaria.
- The subcraft's control room was a long chamber
which appeared to have elevators on both the "north" and "south" ends,
with "north" being designated as the front of the ship.
- Divatox entered from
what appeared to be the northern elevator.
- There were large piles of loot (seemingly all or
mostly gold) in the southwestern and southeastern corners of the
subcraft's bridge.
- Rygog used the controls
on the north side of the periscope to discover that Lerigot was on Earth.
- The door on the south end of the bridge had a
large hatch wheel on it.
- To travel to Earth, Divatox had Rygog
activate the barrier shields and set a cource to Earth; the subcraft then turned into a small point
of green light and shot out of the waters of Liaria.
- As it entered the Earth's
atmosphere was an energy streak, it had a shield of evil energy blocking
its identity, preventing the Power
Chamber scanners from identifying it.
- At night, the subcraft hovered over Bulk and Skull and shone a light down on
them; they sped away, but after they'd crashed into Norman's Bait Shop,
the subcraft's bluish-white light teleported them into the craft after
seeming to bleach their hair gray.
- By morning, the subcraft was in an Earth ocean.
- In the southwest corner of the subcraft's bridge
was a small cell in which Yara and Bethel had been held; Lerigot was soon put in that cell, and his wife
and baby were moved into the other cell, in the southeast corner.
- A loud blaring alarm with spinning blue and red
lights went off, and Elgar, at controls on what
looked like the west wall, said that sensors were detecting the presence
of five humans but no vessel; as Zordon had predicted, Divatox was unable to detect the Turbozords or the Ghost Galleon; the radar hadn't alerted them
to the humans' approach because it apparently
needed fixing.
- Divatox pushed a button
labeled "Pods" on the main control panel, and four Putrapods, in pod form, floated up to the
surface from the underside of the subcraft.
- The subcraft alarm again went off when their
approach of the Nemesis Triangle was
beginning to shake the subcraft and cause flashes of light inside.
- Once the subcraft had taken on enough water from
Jason and Kim's
sabotage in the bilge, the alarm
sounded, and a "tilt" light came on next to the alarm.
- There was a phone on the subcraft's main
controls.
- Looking through the right of two viewing areas in
the sub console, Divatox said the water was
coming from the bilge, and she had Elgar close the emergency hatch, which slid shut in
front of Jason as he was trying to pass through
the very short tunnel between the bilge
and the outside.
? Why the subcraft
would need an emergency hatch to seal off a tunnel that was bolted shut
from the inside of the bilge is
unknown.
- The subcraft surfaced near Muiranthias.
? Looking into the
right viewer on the sub console, Rygog was
shocked that the radar had detected five humans
approaching the island; in actuality, the radar was supposed to be
broken.
501-SIT1.
- Plotting her revenge against the Power Rangers some time later, Divatox ordered for the subcraft to be refueled.
? Teleporting to Earth as a green energy streak again, the subcraft
approached the north Atlantic, but it would eventually end up in Angel Grove.
- The subcraft soon hovered over Angel Grove Lake and sank into the water
as Bulk and Skull watched.
502-SIT2.
? Carrying a large
bottle of water on the subcraft, Elgar
complained that it was hard to get good water delivery 20,000 leagues
(or 70,000 miles) under, but the deepest point in the Pacific Ocean (the
deepest ocean on Earth) is under seven miles
deep; the Earth isn't even 16,000 miles wide.
- Divatox and Porto used the left viewer in the subcraft's
controls to observe the wormhole in
space.
503-SIT3.
- After Porto had completed
his wormhole-closing device,
Amphibitor, the monster he assigned to place the device, entered from the
subcraft's elevator; he complained, "Oh, it's about time! Oh, I'd been
waiting on that stupid planet for you guys to
call me forever!"
- The torpedoes would
always be shown launching from beneath Angel Grove Lake, indicating that the
subcraft remained in the lake.
- Elgar later chased a
winged, flying fish with a flyswatter, noting they had to get their
screen doors fixed.
504-Shad.
- For at least thirty seconds, the subcraft's
elevator was in the process of taking Divatox,
Elgar, Rygog, and Porto somewhere other than the bridge of the
subcraft after the Chromite and the Shadow Rangers had been destroyed.
505-TrIm.
- Porto entered from the
northern elevator, having intercepted a transmission from Visceron to Dimitria.
- Divatox had Rygog prepare the destruction beam to shoot down Visceron.
- Watching Visceron
in the periscope, Rygog had Porto aim the
capture beam to vector 197; a red energy fireball struck Visceron's ship, and two Piranhatron soon dragged Visceron into the bridge.
- On the transformation sprayer Porto used to change Visceron into a servant was some sort of
facelike drawing over a black scribble; this drawing would also be seen
on the subcraft's kitchen wall.
- Visceron very
speedily washed dishes in the subcraft's kitchen.
- After washing the dishes, doing the laundry,
vacuuming, and dusting, Visceron entered
the bridge from the southeast corner of the room, which had been the
cell where Yara and Bethel had been kept in 500-TPRM but was now an entrance.
506-RlyR.
- One night, Porto left
while Rygog and Elgar
were asleep on the bridge the other two were sleeping; he had a torpedo chained to his back, and he went from
the south end of the bridge to the lift in the north end.
- Elgar came in from the
lift after planting his detonator; often,
the villains would appear to use the lift
for teleportation purposes, even though they themselves possessed the
power of teleportation.
- In the subcraft, Elgar locked onto giant Porto's coordinates and shrank him with red energy,
then force-teleported him away with Porto's own
teleport effect.
507-BFSp.
- After Demon
Racer II and the detonator of the day
had been destroyed, Porto, Elgar, and Rygog were in a
sauna in the subcraft; the outside of its doors looked like the lift's
doors.
513-MiMe.
? After the Turbo Megazord's chest ray had made giant
Terrortooth shrink, Divatox flipped a lever on the console of the
subcraft's bridge, making Terrortooth crackle with red
energy as Piranhatrons approached him; he
would grow again later, apparently without torpedoes.
514-ADTW.
- After the lift doors had closed with Piranhatrons inside once Divatox had given them their orders, Divatox looked up to yell for them not to fail
her.
- Divatox watched the big
soccer game on a gold, seemingly alien, big-screen TV on the south end
of the bridge.
? When the
medium-sized periscope later
emerged from an open ice chest at the soccer game, Divatox wore a parka and mittens as she looked
through the periscope in the
subcraft; this was the only time that the periscope's presence in a cooler or
other cold location would appear to make the bridge cold.
515-Cars.
- When Griller arrived unannounced, a
doorbell chimed, and Elgar opened the lift doors
by touching his fist to the circle on the lift doors.
- The lift had a "no smoking" sign on the wall
which Elgar pulled off, thinking it read, "No
solicitors."
516-Shr1.
- Divatox drank from a
steaming goblet but spat out the green liquid, and it burned a hole
through the floor, revealing what looked like a Piranhatron quivering in a lower chamber
(the bilge?).
517-Shr2.
- Rygog pulled out the
console on the east wall to get to the shrunken Rangers who had escaped through a pipe
behind the console, in which a bit of water was trickling.
- The Rangers
arrived in another room of the subcraft, in which the water from the
pipe was pouring out into the open; in this room was an Earth pencil which shrunken Tommy used to fight the shrunken Piranhatrons.
- Somewhere in the subcraft was a small tunnel with
water trickling along the floor; two eels came from either end of the tunnel to
attack the shrunken Rangers, but they
escaped the eels after taking shelter in
a circular hole in the wall, then went through a grating at the end of
the tunnel, entering Divatox's closet.
? The aforementioned
small watery tunnel was identical to the much larger (but, according to
scale, the same size) access tunnel
beneath Angel Grove seen in 527-OLHo, 528-FOPh, and
529-ClMz.
- Directly opposite Divatox's closet was some sort of
industrial-looking hall of pipes and valves and such; Rygog, Elgar, and Porto were nearby.
- In the torpedo room
of the subcraft, the shrunken Rangers turned a launch key, causing an
alarm to sound and a male voice to announce, "Launch torpedoes in ten seconds," followed by a
countdown, and the torpedoes then flew out,
eventually striking the beach,
near where a detonator happened to be.
- Divatox didn't know
that the flashing alarm lights on the bridge meant the torpedoes had been launched until Porto told her.
518-PTT1.
- When Mama D's image
appeared, Divatox was asleep in a bed in a
bedroom in the subcraft; on the wall was a window looking out into the
water.
- Divatox's pillows and
possibly whole bed were sea-related, with her main pillow being
transparent, filled with clear ooze with eyeballs in it; a large orange
plastic fish was near her head.
- To distract the other Rangers as the Piranhatron attacked Tommy, Divatox flipped a
lever on the bridge which made two Putrapod
pods float up from the sub.
522-TBTS.
- Picking up pizzas, Porto
gave his address as being in Angel Grove
Lake.
523-PhPh.
- Divatox counted her
treasure (which was now filling the whole bridge) and came up with 860
diamonds, 745 rubies, and 2,000 pounds of gold: not nearly enough for
her, even though Elgar totaled it at $10
billion.
524-VAct.
- The three Rangers
captured by Translucitor were
chained to a rocket in the forest,
with the rocket bearing the same design seen on Porto's transformation sprayer and
the subcraft's kitchen wall in 505-TrIm.
525-WTFO.
- When Elgar returned to
the subcraft after the Rangers had foiled
his mission to launch the freeze
key into the sun, Divatox angrily shoved
Elgar into the lift despite his protests that he couldn't swim, and he
would then be shown swimming outside the sub; he later wandered in with
a large squid on him, but his swim would be undone by Clockster's time reversal.
526-DrkD.
- When General Havoc
tried to contact Divatox, his call came in
through the phone on the subcraft's control
panel.
- Havoc's Space Base had a docking bay for the subcraft.
- That evening, Elgar
hauled in the anchor, and Porto fired the
thrusters.
- The subcraft rose from the water and flew away
after its fin wings had been engaged.
- Once the subcraft had docked with the Space Base in space,
the lift doors opened, revealing a balcony overlooking Earth just beyond the doors, with the lift gone.
? An external view of
the docked subcraft with the doors opened would have made the subcraft
far too small to hold any rooms other than the bridge.
530-Robo.
- Seeing that Bulk and
Skull were filming Cassie and Ashley, Divatox
had Porto bring her Flash Head, who walked in from the
balcony after the subcraft's doors had been closed.
- Porto later presented Voltmeister, who was introduced
in the same manner as Flash
Head.

500-TPRM.
- The subcraft had a
full-sized gold periscope with a green lens.
- The periscope's view had numbered axes on it,
with no color tinting.
501-SIT1.
- The periscope view now had a green coloration to
it and would continue to have this tint unless otherwise noted; the
green coloration, however, would not always be the same; at times, a
green tint would merely be added to the colors of the original image; at
other times, a green tint would be added to a grayscale version of the
original image; at still other times, a green tint would be added to a
color-inverted version of the original image.
505-TrIm.
? The periscope view
had no tint this time.
508-BBFB.
- For Divatox to spy on
Justin from the subcraft, a periscope similar to the one seen in
500-TPRM popped up from a barrel of water
near Justin; this was the first of many
instances in which the periscope would emerge from a body of liquid in a
place where the subcraft could not have been
physically connected to it without using some sort of wormhole effect.
- The periscope was a size smaller than the
full-sized one in 500-TPRM; this size is
referred to as "medium-sized" in this guide.
- The medium-sized periscope later emerged from a
river.
- The medium-sized periscope, later still, emerged
from a punch bowl at Justin's party.
510-GlHa.
- The medium-sized periscope emerged from a
birdbath on the set of Adam's stunt show.
- Divatox seemed to be
looking through the periscope view through one of the two viewers on the
bridge's controls; she would do this numerous times in the future.
- The periscope later emerged from a bucket of
water on the set of the stunt show.
511-Wt&S.
- A tiny version of the periscope emerged from Kat's glass of water in the Juice Bar.
- When chimp-Skull tried to
use the tiny periscope as a straw, it caused the periscope viewer inside
the subcraft to turn and go up and down by
itself, with loud chimp screeching echoing through the subcraft.
512-Al&D.
- The medium-sized periscope later emerged from a
water bucket behind the counter of the Juice
Bar.
- The chimps again
played with the periscope, causing the periscope in the subcraft to move around.
514-ADTW.
- The medium-sized periscope emerged from a hot dog
cooker at the soccer game.
- Divatox and Elgar simultaneously watched through the console's
viewers as a Piranhatron planted a detonator at the soccer game.
? When the
medium-sized periscope later emerged from an open ice chest at the
soccer game, Divatox wore a parka and mittens
as she looked through the periscope in the subcraft; this was the only time that the
periscope's presence in a cooler or other cold location would appear to
make the bridge cold.
515-Cars.
- The tiny periscope emerged from someone's bottle
full of apple juice at the Royal
Academy audition, and the level of juice in the bottle began to
drop; aboard the subcraft, Elgar was drinking the apple juice as a stream
trickled from the bottom of the periscope viewer.
- The medium-sized periscope later emerged from a
drink pitcher in the Juice Bar.
520-StWi.
- The tiny periscope emerged from a mug of hot
chocolate in Ashley's design class.
524-TWOF.
- The medium-sized periscope emerged from a bucket
of tar, but Divatox couldn't see through it
because of the tar on the lens; it would be in working order again in 526-DrkD.
526-DrkD.
- Divatox could still
view events on Earth with the periscope after
the subcraft had moved to the Space Base.
527-OLHo.
? The periscope only
had a very faint green tint as it viewed Metallasaurus in Angel Grove; this was, coincidentally, the
first time the view through the periscope had been seen since its lens
had been covered with tar.
530-Robo.
- The medium-sized periscope emerged from an ice
chest.
531-BTTW.
- The medium-sized periscope emerged from the
fountain in the park.
534-TOWW.
- Elgar had broken the
periscope, disobeying Divatox's rule of not
touching it.
- Maniac
Mechanic repaired the periscope by installing a new lens and mirror.
- Soon after Maniac Mechanic had been
destroyed, the periscope fell apart the second his guarantee expired.
535-SpOW.
- The periscope was now in working order again.
- The medium-sized periscope appeared in a water
jug on the sidewalk.
536-Conf.
- The miniature periscope emerged from a jug of
orange juice in the Juice Bar.
537-Accd.
- The medium-sized periscope appeared in a water
jug at the soccer field.
538-CBFr.
- The medium-sized periscope emerged from the teens' cooler at the lake.
539-CrvB.
- The medium-sized periscope emerged from a cooler.
540-C&TC.
- The medium-sized periscope emerged from a bucket
of frothing steam, probably dry ice, in the Youth Center.
541-LSMn.
- The medium-sized periscope emerged from what
appeared to be a cheesecake topped with whipped cream in the Juice Bar.
| PORTHOLES |
| You are here: - What/ Technology/Equipment / Vehicles / Spacecraft / Villains' spacecraft / PRT villains' spacecraft / Divatox's subcraft # Portholes |
505-TrIm.
? The subcraft's portholes in the walls could be
opened without allowing water to rush in; when Elgar opened up a porthole and threw some water
through it from a bucket, the water soon splashed back in his face.
506-RlyR.
- At one point, a hammerhead shark's head (looking
just like Slippery Shark)
was sticking into the subcraft through a
porthole, and Elgar was trying to fight it off
with a baseball bat.
507-BFSp.
- Thinking the sub felt
stuffy, Elgar opened a porthole and saw a
monstrous eye outside with a green retina and blue eyelids.
508-BBFB.
- Elgar was reaching out
through a porthole and pulling out Rygog's
gloves and putting them in a clothes basket; already hanging on a
clothesline nearby in the sub were Rygog's boots, and near that was an iron on an
ironing board.
- Elgar was soon surprised
to find a pair of boxer shorts in his hand.
509-WLie.
- In the sub, Elgar was trying to fight off a very long octopus
tentacle that was wrapped around him from a porthole.
- Some time later, Elgar
had been almost completely pulled out through the porthole, except his
head was still in the sub; shortly afterward,
he was back on the bridge holding a pot of steaming octopus.
| EELS |

500-TPRM.
- Divatox opened a jar in
the loot pile in the subcraft and cuddled her
pet white, male eel affectionately.
? Divatox's supposed "eel" actually appeared to
have a short fish body as it leapt out of its container in the loot pile
when the subcraft approached the Nemesis Triangle.
? In Maligore's temple,
Divatox was suddenly holding her eel, but she
hadn't been shown bringing it along.
- For a sacrifice after the humans were turning pure again, Divatox wrapped her eel around Elgar's neck, and he fell into the pit; she told Rygog to remind her to get another pet.
517-Shr2.
- When the shrunken Rangers were traveling through a small
watery passageway somewhere in the subcraft,
two eels identical to Divatox's pet in 500-TPRM came from either direction and rushed
toward the Rangers, but they managed to
take shelter in a small opening in the wall, causing the eels to crash
into each other.
| BILGE |
| - dank holding chamber beneath bridge | |
| First Appearance: | 500-TPRM |
| Last Appearance: | 500-TPRM |
| You are here: - What/ Technology/Equipment / Vehicles / Spacecraft / Villains' spacecraft / Divatox's subcraft # Bilge | |
500-TPRM.
- After Jason and Kim had been captured, they were lying on a
panel on the floor of the bridge; with Divatox
ordered them to be thrown into the bilge, Elgar
caused the panel to swing open from beneath them, dropping them into the
shallow water-filled bilge below.
? Jason said it didn't look like there was any way
out of the bilge, but he neglected to mention the large round panel in
the wall which the two teens would eventually remove, or the flimsy
panel in the ceiling which led into the subcraft's bridge.
- Bulk and Skull,
with scrambled brains, were in the adjoining cell, connected to the
bilge with two barred portholes and a closed doorway.
- Two days later, Jason and
Kim were making weapons from pipes in the
wall when Jason thought to try to pry off the
large panel in the wall; his plan was for them to pry off the panel and
swim to the surface once the subcraft had
risen to 100 feet from its current depth of 435 feet.
? Jason's plan was to wait until the subcraft had risen to 100 feet, but he and Kim then began loosening the hatch (by breaking
off the nuts that held the hatch in place), allowing water to begin
pouring in too soon.
? Jason and Kim struggled
to hold the water back until they crossed through the Nemesis Triangle, but the pressure from the
water outside the subcraft would have been
far too strong for two people to hold back.
? After the subcraft had passed through the Nemesis Triangle, Jason and Kim then
struggled to pry the panel off, but in the previous scene, they were
just barely able to hold it on.
? After they'd removed
the panel and the bilge had filled up with water, Jason and Kim merely
turned the wheel on the door connecting their room with Bulk and Skull's and then opened the door to
let Bulk and Skull swim through; why they
hadn't opened this door sooner is unknown.
? Also unknown is why
no one in the subcraft's bridge heard all the
splashing and yelling of the escaping captives, since the grating which
connected the bridge and the bilge was
most definitely not soundproof.
- Looking through the right of two viewing areas in
the sub console, Divatox said the water was coming from the bilge,
and she had Elgar close the emergency hatch,
which slid shut in front of Jason as he was
trying to pass through the very short tunnel between the bilge and the
outside.
? Why the subcraft would need an emergency hatch to seal
off a tunnel that was bolted shut from the inside of the bilge is
unknown.
? After the water had
been drained from the bilge (using the "bilge purge" button), what
appeared to be the hatch which Jason and Kim had swiveled aside after bashing off its
nuts was suddenly secure again.
516-Shr1.
- On the bridge, Divatox drank from a
steaming goblet but spat out the green liquid, and it burned a hole
through the floor, revealing what looked like a Piranhatron quivering in a lower chamber
(the bilge?).
