- various miscellaneous notes (primarily mistakes) from Power Rangers Turbo
500-TPRM
As Tommy, Adam, and Rocky practiced for the upcoming national championship, a girl in a
blue shirt, talking with someone down below, was seen standing beside
several sides of the ring, all at once.
When Lerigot teleported to Earth, his energy streak was shown approaching the
Earth far earlier than he should have actually
arrived; later, a second arrival was shown, one which was properly-timed
for his arrival while it was daytime in Africa but nighttime in California.
The above error also
occurred with Divatox's subcraft; it was once shown approaching the planet during the day (much earlier than her
arrival should have been), then later, at night, the subcraft approached once more, now at the proper
time.
When the camera
rotated around Bulk and Skull as they
were in their patrol bike at
night, the stars in the upper right corner of the screen remained
stationary.
While falling from a
cliff, Kat was able to grab her Zeonizer from midair above her after it had
gotten stuck on a branch and been pulled off her wrist; if the Zeonizer had been stuck, even for just a
moment, it would not have remained close enough to Kat for her to reach it during her fall; furthermore,
in the shot of Kat first falling from the cliff
just after the Zeonizer had been pulled off
her wrist, both Zeonizer wristbands were
firmly attached to her wrists.
Tommy and Kat switched sides
after rounding a corner in the jungle just before spotting Lerigot.
After Tommy, Jason, and Kim had been knocked away from the lava pit in
Maligore's temple, Kat picked Tommy's helmet up twice.
501-SIT1
The clips from 500-TPRM, representing the story the four teens told Rocky, were as
follows:
- the teens walk into the Turbozord room in the Power Chamber
- the teens drive the Turbozords through the desert
- energy from Lerigot's Golden Key allows Divatox's subcraft to
pass through the Nemesis Triangle
- the four teens are infused with the Turbo powers
- the Ghost Galleon sails
- Kat shrieks at a skeleton on the Ghost Galleon's dock
- the teens join the power of the Turbo Keys as the galleon approaches the Nemesis Triangle
- the galleon explodes
- Divatox laughs
- four Ranger-colored streaks
fly over the city at night
- the four teens arrive with Lerigot at a beach in daylight
- chimps peek up from bushes in a jungle
- Piranhatron-like warriors pop up from
bushes in a jungle
- a superior warrior's horse rides
through a jungle (with the warrior riding
it not shown)
- an arrow strikes a log
- Kat falls off a cliff wearing her Zeonizers and Tommy
dives after her
- golden streaks envelop Lerigot as warriors surround him in a jungle
- warriors ride on waverunners
- the Rangers prepare to surprise the
Malachians, Divatox, and crew in the temple as Jason and
Kim hang over a lava pit
- the Rangers summon weapons
- Maligore's form starts to rise from lava
- Jason and Kim
appear on the edge of the lava pit
- Jason fights the helmetless Tommy
- the Liarians purify Kim
- Tommy holds onto Jason's arm to prevent him from falling into the
lava pit
- the Liarians project their energy again
- an explosion comes from the lava pit
- the Rangers (all wearing their
helmets) are surprised
- Maligore's foot stomps on ground with Rygog and Divatox in
background
- the Rangers shift levers in Turbozord cockpits
- the Turbozords grow
- the Turbo Megazord assembles
- the Turbo Megazord stands victorious
with an explosion behind it
- Justin tells the teens at the dock that he's the new Blue Ranger
If the above scenes had been arranged in the
order in which they appeared in 500-TPRM,
the order would be as follows: 15, 14, 13, 17, 10, 12, 16, 11, 18, 1, 4,
2, 6, 34, 5, 3, 9, 7, 8, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 21, 26, 28, 29, 20, 30,
31, 32, 33.
Before the Turbozords raced through the desert, Adam was
shown tightening his shoulder straps, but this hadn't appeared in 500-TPRM.
A close-up of Kat shifting the shorter lever in Wind Chaser (before the Turbozords had raced out from the dust cloud)
hadn't been in 500-TPRM.
The Turbozords were shown racing out from four Ranger-colored explosions of smoke in
the desert, but these smoke explosions
hadn't been in 500-TPRM.
Around the time Tommy would have been discovering the Ghost Galleon, Kat
shrieked at a skeleton on the dock, but this hadn't been in 500-TPRM.
When Divatox was shown laughing after the galleon had exploded, it was actually a shot
of her panicking when she realized (at an earlier point) that the subcraft was taking on water.
When the four teens arrived at a beach with Lerigot, it was daytime, yet in 500-TPRM, it had been in the dim light of early
morning; the shot of the warriors on
waverunners, however, was dimmed as it had been in 500-TPRM.
As the Rangers prepared to rush into the temple, Tommy told
the Rangers, "Okay, guys, this is it,"
but in 500-TPRM, his original line had been,
"All right, guys, this is it," and it had been uttered moments earlier
than was now shown.
When the Rangers prepared to activate the Turbozords' growth to Zord size, their dialogue was totally different
from what they'd said in 500-TPRM (see
phrase table on "Turbozords" page).
The flashbacks showed no more of Maligore than his foot and the beginning of his
surfacing from the lava.
504-Shad
On the subcraft, Porto and Divatox had microphones, and Divatox held headphones as they introduced the Chromite; Divatox
then cheerfully looked at the camera as though she were addressing an
audience.
505-TrIm
After Visceron had reverted from servant form to
his original damaged form, the smoke around him froze just before the
shot was over.
Amused that Visceron had been blown up while fighting
the Rangers, Divatox asked, "Isn't it ironic?"; Elgar replied to the camera, "Oh yeah. Don't you
think, kids?", alluding to the Alanis Morissette song "Ironic."
507-BFSp
As Porto introduced his latest detonator, Elgar
looked at the camera while holding the detonator and announced, "This is the only
device that those truly bent on world domination
will ever need, all for only $19.95!"
508-BBFB
When Big Burpa terrorized a Japanese shop road on her bike, before the Rangers had teleported onto the scene from the Power Chamber, there were six Japanese teenagers riding on bicycles behind
her; each wore a different Ranger color, with two of the males wearing
green; in addition to colors, the
teenagers' genders matched the Power
Rangers as well.
There was a jump in
the film as Big Burpa was
escaping through a thin alleyway.
510-GlHa
In one shot during the Megazord fight with Pharaoh, only the Blue and Green Rangers were in the cockpit. (Source: Submitted by Gordon Dickinson)
511-Wt&S
When Rygog described what Numbor was beginning to do to Angel Grove, the closed-captioning had "Numbor" at the beginning of the
sentence, but Rygog was not heard saying the
monster's name; rather, the scene began mid-sentence.
513-MiMe
The C emblem patch on Justin's arm was backwards when Justin pulled out a Turbo Navigator.
518-PTT1
The passenger door
of Tommy's truck was open as he leapt away but
closed as the truck exploded.
527-OLHo
Stationary trees
could be seen in Lightning Cruiser's
rear view mirror as T.J. and Ashley flew over the city.
529-ClMz
T.J. was alone in Lightning Cruiser as it was flying, but
Cassie was with him after it had landed.
531-BTTW
When Elgar was thrown over the balcony after he'd
accidentally knocked Divatox's third wishing coin from her hands to Earth, there was no Earth
under him.
533-FIYT
When morphed Carlos and Justin
appeared in the forest to protect
the space cars, Justin's voice was dubbed over Carlos's speech gestures.
When the flying Lightning Cruiser was shown from
overhead, there was sky beneath it.
535-SpOW
Although the car
radio of some teenagers in the woods
was playing a CD, its display showed 90.1 FM.
At a very early hour
every morning, T.J. would go jogging, and Bulk and Skull would deliver newspapers, but it always appeared to be
midmorning rather than anywhere near dawn.
536-Conf
On the flyers Crash was handing out at the resource center, Angel Grove was misspelled as "Angle Grove."
539-CrvB
Both times the Rangers faced Strikeout, the sky had been sunny
and clear over the baseball field, but it was cloudy and gray in the park.
544-CIS1
In one shot of the
Rescue Megazord falling over during the
fight with Goldgoyle, the footage was
reversed from left to right.
