  • The Dragonzord Battle Mode's standard formation was as follows, unless otherwise stated: the Dragonzord transformed, the Mastodon merged with the Dragonzord from behind, then the combined upper body of the Dragonzord Battle Mode descended to merge with the Sabertoothed Tiger and Triceratops as they rose to an upright position.
  • The Dragonzord Battle Mode's kneeplates bore the Dragonzord's Z symbols; its entire chestplate was the Dragonzord claw symbol.
  • Zordon referred to the Dragonzord Battle Mode as "Dragonzord in fighting mode."

  • The Dragonzord Battle Mode's cockpit, looking identical to the Megazord cockpit but without the dinosaur symbol on the back door, was in the head, part of the Dragonzord.
  • After the Dragonzord Battle Mode was formed, only Billy, Zack, and Trini rode in the cockpit, with Zack in the center seat.

  • After Jason had announced, "We need Dragonzord power!" and told Tommy to summon the Zord, Billy, Zack, and Trini then summoned their Zords in preparation for the Dragonzord Battle Mode formation; it was only afterward that Jason called for the aformentioned configuration.

  • The Dragonzord Battle Mode's Power Staff was a combination of the Dragonzord's tail and chest shield, together on a long rod.

  • To destroy monsters, the Dragonzord Battle Mode would charge up the spinning drill on the end of its Power Staff and then run it through the monster's midsection.
  • The Power Staff destroyed giant Spidertron.
