  • The Ape was Red Ranger's Ninjazord.
  • On the Ape's chest was a circular symbol with an S inside. (see "Recurring letters")
  • The Ape formed the right arm of the Ninja Megazord and Ninja Megafalconzord.
  • When Ninja Rocky stepped forward to claim the power of his Ninjazord, a beam of red, sparkling light shined down on him; Ninjor summoned red energy and released blue energy from his hands, then told Rocky to learn from the mighty red Ape Ninjazord's wisdom and strength.

  • The Ape wielded two golden swords; it could join its swords together at the handles and use them like a lance.
  • The Ape would on several occasions be the same size as a giant monster, but then the Ninja Megazord or Megafalconzord, of which the Ape was merely an arm, would also be the size of the monster; the clearest example of this phenomenon would occur during the fight with giant Marvo the Meanie in 310-WFAD.

    310-WFAD

  • After Red Ranger had turned around and sunk through the floor of the Ninja Megafalconzord cockpit, the Ape glowed red and detached from the Megafalconzord to personally fight Marvo.
  • The Ape's linked swords, charged with blue elecricity, made giant Marvo fall over, shrink, and turn back into Mr. Wilton.

  • Giant Hate Master was attacked by the Frog's mini-Frogzords, the Frog's flame breath, Titanus's fireballs, the Ape's charged double swords, the Falconzord's wingtip blasts, the Wolf's eyebeams, and the Bear's eyebeams, but it was the Crane's lasers which finally destroyed him.

    MMPR: The Movie

  • The Ape's cockpit was round, and more spacious than any of the other Ninjazords' cockpits; it had square handgrip controls on either side of the pilot.
  • The Ape's cockpit was located inside the Zord's chest dome.
  • Rocky called his Zord "Apezord."
  • Rocky had the Ape jump off a building and tackle Hornitor from behind.
