  • In an unknown time period in Africa, young Tanya explained to young Aisha that all the animals near her camp were getting sick with some sort of plague, making them confused and weak, and thus more dangerous.
  • Young Tanya led young Aisha back to the camp where she lived, as she said Aisha wouldn't want to be caught out there when night fell.
  • Young Tanya had been taken in by the local people three years ago (though three years prior to an unknown reference time) when her parents had been lost on an expedition.
  • Young Tanya had been an only child, but now she had a large family of wonderful people, except the animals could destroy their whole existence.
  • Ashalla led the people of Tanya's camp.
  • No one knew what was making the animals sick, not even the wildlife researchers, who said the plague could destroy their whole ecosystem.

  • Ashalla said that the animals represented their future: when they ceased to exist, so would they.
  • When Aisha told Zordon she would stay to help find a cure for the animal plague (sending Tanya in her place), he replied that her decision to stay in Africa had altered the course of her family's history, and she would find that they had joined her when time was corrected (see "Orb of Doom").
  • When the Zeo Crystal restored time and thus the proper ages of the teens, it also made young Tanya, who was from an unknown time in Africa, the same age as the teens; her memories and continuity of thought were apparently unaffected during the time transition, suggesting that the time period Tanya was from had been under the effects of the Orb of Doom's time regression.

  • When young Aisha told young Tanya she was looking for a piece of a crystal, Tanya said hopefully Ashalla would be able to help her, as she was the smartest woman she knew.
  • Ashalla led the people of Tanya's African camp.

  • When young Aisha and young Tanya made it to the camp after nightfall, Aisha apologized to Ashalla for any trouble Tanya's rescuing of her might have caused.
  • Looking at young Aisha, Ashalla said it was as if she were looking at her own reflection fifty years ago.
  • When young Aisha remembered her mom telling her about her great aunt Ashalla, Ashalla said it was a sign that Aisha was home.
  • Ashalla said that the animals represented their future: when they ceased to exist, so would they.
  • Ashalla told young Aisha that she, Aisha, had come to learn, to reach her potential, and to deliver them from this time of great struggle, in which the animals were sick from a plague and thus threatened the camp; she said that Aisha was the chosen one.
  • When young Aisha interjected that she had been sent there on a quest to find something, Ashalla said that she had often called on the power of her personal talisman (actually the yellow Zeo Subcrystal) when she was unsure; she gave it to Aisha now in hopes that she would stay.
  • The yellow subcrystal was in a decorated chest, glowing green.
  • When young Aisha exclaimed that the subcrystal was what she had been sent to find, Ashalla said that they had been told that there would be a time when it would save them and that perhaps that day had arrived.
  • Before young Aisha and young Tanya left the camp in the morning with the yellow subcrystal, Ashalla made sure they were absolutely certain about their decision (for Aisha to remain in Africa and Tanya to go in her stead), then, understanding that it was for the best, hugged the two girls and wished one of them a safe journey.
  • When the Zeo Crystal restored time and thus the proper ages of the teens, it also made young Tanya, who was from an unknown time in Africa, the same age as the teens; her memories and continuity of thought were apparently unaffected during the time transition, suggesting that the time period Tanya was from had been under the effects of the Orb of Doom's time regression.
  • After the Zeo Crystal had returned time to the present, Aisha, a teen again, was shown in the Viewing Globe being greeted and hugged by Ashalla, who told her, "Welcome home, child," not appearing confused that Aisha had left as a child but returned as a teen.

  • Apparently the same day as the Sloans had found the lost tiki of Auric but had had it stolen by Louie Kaboom, a package from Aisha arrived at Kat's house for Tanya; in the package along with the key to Auric and a map to Mysterio Island was the following letter:

    Dear Tanya,

    Ashalla asked me to send you this key.  Your parents wanted you to have it.  This is the key to the lost tiki of Auric.  I'm also sending you a map that was found in your parents' belongings.
